“Lovely nights stay at the Ashford Arms. Comfortable rooms and excellent restaurant serving fabulous food. Nice to have a breakfast menu as opposed to a buffet. Great location in quiet village close to Bakewell. Would stay again if back in Derbyshire.”

“Sub-Standard service from Expedia and Sykes Cottages. Our booking got cancelled as the cottage had ‘last minute maintenance’. The booking was for the 2-7th July 2025 and despite a huge amount of emails, phone calls and WhatsApp messages - it’s now the 12th July and we have still not received a refund. ”

“Breakfast was luke warm and that was at the start. It was not free it cost £12 per head. Parkig £5 good these days. Reception staff was excellent. ”

“There was little or no noise from the pub. The only noise near my room was other guests arriving and departing. Parking was no problem. Staff were very pleasant and, due to them, I was able to get my head down in good time as I had been up all the previous night. This was followed by a very sound night's sleep. Breakfast was perfectly adequate for me (cereal and toast). The evening meal I had booked was again perfectly satisfactory. For my one night's stay, the experience was fine. ”
