“The rooms were new and fresh and clean and staff top notch. Beds comfy. Parking plentiful. Loved the welcome with cookies to welcome Michigan State University grads and families. All around great! And saved us when we had to cancel our three rooms for family at the Red Roof Inn in Lansing - dirty, cigarette smokers running desk, trailer of cats in the pothole parking lot, place in complete disrepair. Crowne Plaza IHG saved us and then some. Also had a great - but a tad pricey - buffet...

“Remodel and no pool. And did not inform me through Expedia!”

“Nancy was helpful. But one staff called to report a chair that was broken when he checked in, and asked for a replacement chair. He was told that was not an option.”

“I will file a formal complaint but no shower curtain, mold, smoke alarm falling down, curtains looked like they were old and chewed up by rats. Smell of marijuana all the time. Staff did not care and Expedia says I can’t get money back on two other days booked so will be moving my business elsewhwre”

“We were forced to book another hotel --through expedia--upon arriving and seeing a trailer full of cats, the desk staff smoking, doors with destroyed paint, pothole ridden parking lot. The place is awful and we would have felt unsafe and exposed to smoke and cat fur (one of our family members has severe allergies). I didn't even go in. I left a voicemail canceling our stay. Regrettably I didn't say why. I will be disputing the charges. ”

“The hotel is undergoing renovations and I think a change of ownership. The sign still says it’s a Clarion but it’s advertised as Lansing Delta West. The room was a bit shabby but clean, comfortable and spacious. I could hear guests on both sides through the walls and they were not being overly noisy. The grounds, sidewalks and common areas are currently in poor condition which I assume will be taken care of as renovations continue. There is a large indoor pool and patio area that looks like it...

“This was the worst hotel experience I have ever had, even for just one night. The rooms were in terrible condition, with very poor lighting, and the bathroom drainage did not work. The entire room was extremely dirty and clearly not maintained properly. The front desk service was also very disappointing and unprofessional. What made the experience even worse was their handling of the security deposit, which felt dishonest and misleading. They would not respond properly to customer service calls...

“Avoid this hotel at all costs. The hotel looked like it was abandoned. The exterior was damaged and poorly maintained. The hallways smelled of marijuana and the drop ceiling in the hallway had holes. I thought we were on candid camera at first. It seriously looked like an abandoned hotel from a movie. I consider the money lost a donation to Expedia.”

“While the house is an architectural marvel, it is very dirty, sheets were stained, hallways were packed with boxes, and owner was living in the same immediate space.”

“The tubs could've been cleaner, had less hard water, and the WiFi could've been less spotty but overall the hotel was very immaculate, had excellent waitstaff, a nice large pool, a separate area for smoking which is a lifesaver for an asthmatic and decent breakfast offerings. You really can't complain. If this was an apartment It wouldn't be decent ”

“Quite an unsafe property. Had to check out a night earlier because of unsafe conditions. No amenities were provided. No WiFi, no room service and bugs in the room.”

“Room cleaned after I reached the hotel and kept me waiting for 15 Minute for cleaning even though it's pre booked. Toilet seats were dirty and not cleaned even after informing the team. Coffee machine was utter waste, the disposable cups were old and blackish spots in it. Coffee was horrible. Waste bin should be cleaned by us. They won't do it. Towels we need to replace each time by going to the reception and ask. It was a horrible stay here.”
