“Excellent characterful hotel. Our large room was in the Stable Block, and was quiet, comfortable and well appointed. We would very much recommend and would certainly stay again when next visiting Shrewsbury. The only (very minor) niggles were that the shower head in our large en-suite was faulty, meaning it had to be held rather than stood under, and the breakfast choices were limited if you didn’t want to start the day with a big fry-up! “Only booked Wednesday to stay Thursday night and got an exceptional deal breakfasts brilliant. Very grand and leisure centre very good pool warm and gym good . could definitely recommend We were upgraded and had large bedroom with 4 poster bed. Very good to do the Royal Airforce Museum at Shifnal that also was excellent. The day after we went to National Memorial Arboretum at Staffordshire well worth and visit and these two places were ffree of charge. ”

“Convenient to road system but unaffected by traffic noise. Free parking. Reception friendly and efficient. Lifts available. My room had 2 double beds which made the room seem cramped. The bed I used was comfortable. Ensuite bath with an over shower. I had to fix the shower curtain back on the track to avoid soaking the floor. Food good quality and reasonably priced.”
