“Unique gorgeous seaside English hotel. Lovely staff very helpful,friendly and hard workers. The property is well maintained, clean and just has a lovely vibe to it. Comfortable bed, modern bathroom We absolutely loved staying here and so did our nieces.”

“The property was on the seafront overlooking the beach, Southend Pier, and the amusements. All of the food outlets were either on the seafront or within 20 minutes walk east or west along the parade or north going towards Sainsburys. Lovely place which i hope to visit again.”

“Facciata e parti comuni molto curate, ma la stanza era orrenda. Piccola e con affaccio su una scala di servizio esterna. L'armadio era inutilizzabile perché ingombro di un tavolo da stiro, termosifone e ventilatore (l'impianto di condizionamento...) che tirati fuori non avrebbero lasciato spazio per muoversi. “The hotel is very handy. Staff in the restaurant friendly and helpful. The first room n. 308 was very nice but unfortunately the air conditioning wasn’t working and nobody could repair it as it was a Sunday. We were moved to another room the day after. “Hotel well positioned on sea front, good choice of food and well stocked bar. All staff were excellent. Room a reasonable size with good size bathroom. Only one detraction was the room was oh so hot! Admittedly it was an etremely hot couple of days.”

“It was a very nice place to stay at a reasonable cost. Ideal location near to Cooling Castle were able to walk back after the wedding well with a torch. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend.”

“The owner of The Lodge was very welcoming providing me with good information on how to find the place. My room was well equipped with TV, Fridge and Kettle plus storage for clothing if I needed to use it. The site also has ample parking. Although miles from other places, it's a quiet location and quite a hidden gem. It doesn't take long to get back to the Chatham area.”

“Our stay at the Ship Inn was lovely - the rooms are perfect, the bed super comfy and ear plugs are provided for any noise from the pub downstairs (which we did not find a problem at all). Breakfast is continental but very lovely and we had a really nice stay. Also ate at the pub and would definitely recommend - all staff lovely and food really really good (and nice cocktails too at a good price!) ”
