  • Construction Update (Updated 6/3/2026)

    We would like to make our guests aware that there is an active commercial construction project close to this home.
    Construction is typically scheduled Monday through Friday, and occasionally on Saturdays, between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Depending on the stage of the project, some construction noise may be audible inside the home during working hours. Outside of those times, the area is generally quiet.
    Current Project Updates:
    We have been notified that there will be no further nighttime construction activity.
    The townhomes located next door are expected to be completed in June 2026 and are nearly finished.
    The project behind the property is currently scheduled for completion by December 2026.
    Another project is beginning on St. Philip Street, but it is not expected to create noticeable noise at this home.

    We continue to successfully host guests throughout the construction period and remain committed to providing an exceptional Charleston experience. We will continue to go above and beyond to ensure your stay is comfortable, relaxing, and enjoyable.

    The Blue and White House is a charming 1,500-square-foot home located just one block off King Street in the heart of downtown Charleston. Newly constructed and thoughtfully furnished, the home features high-end appliances, stylish décor, and all the comforts needed for a memorable stay.
    Whether you're planning a family vacation, girls' getaway, or couples' retreat, this home offers the perfect combination of comfort, convenience, and location. You'll be within walking distance of Charleston's renowned restaurants, shopping, historic attractions, and vibrant nightlife.

this was a well-appointed property with a good host. we were warned ahead that there could be construction noise from next door, but there was no work on the week-end, and even on the weekday, the noise wasn't much. the house is well located, a couple blocks away from the liveliest spots; far enough to be away from the tumult but close enough that many restaurants were short walks.

I stayed at this house with my husband, two adult daughters, and their boyfriends and it was the perfect home base for the six of us as we explored Charleston. The house is very stylish and comfortable and conveniently located to lots of shops, restaurants, and bars. Having a car was also helpful to get around so appreciated the driveway. I appreciated the open communication about the ongoing construction on all sides of the house. We were prepared for it, which was good because it was a lot. That said, if you don’t mind it, the house is amazing and in a great location!! Highly recommend!!!

Fun family stay

The property was super clean and very nice for our family of 4. Everyone was able to have their own space when we returned in the evenings after long days of sight seeing. Owners are extremely responsive. Would stay here again!

Great place and location

Had everything we needed and in quiet neighborhood but close enough to all the activities, shops and restaurants to be convenient. Each bedroom with its own bath was a definite plus for us.

Beautiful and meticulously curated home with comfortable beds. It was a perfect location to explore Charleston and surrounding areas! In full disclosure, the construction work next door is very close and very loud and started before 7 am.

Beautiful place and great location for tucked away eateries and shops! We would definitely recommend. Plus you get off street parking w a gate which is a major plus in Charleston! You get a ton of street noise however! Woke up 2 nights in a row (weekend) to loud groups of college kids. It cannot be helped and it is not the hosts fault (they were kind enough to leave a pack of earbuds, though we could’ve used a pack for each of us). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again.

Cute place - very clean and safe

We were in town for a girls trip to celebrate our 40th Birthdays. This VRBO was so cute and clean. Beds were comfortable and hosts were very easy to communicate with. Very close to King street - loved our stay!!

Beautiful home… What you see is what you get… Very nice!!

Wonderful place to stay. The home owners were always fast to respond and very kind! The home is clean and the beds are super comfortable. No issues during our stay. Close to the downtown market area, nice places to eat and not far at all from the beach! My family and I would definitely consider staying at this location in the future. We all enjoyed our stay for sure!! I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking to be in the Charleston area.

Fabulous house in perfect area!

Everything was absolutely amazing! We thoroughly enjoyed the house. The beds were so comfy and linens were fantastic! Shower pressure was perfect! We didn’t use the kitchen other than the coffee maker and enjoyed coffee every morning in the sitting area. So fun! We were close to many great restaurants! Very walkable area and we felt safe the entire time. The construction was not an issue for us!
