This is an absolutely clean property. Very impressive. An older building with great updates. We enjoyed our stay.

The location of the motel is quite loud and walls are thin. I would bring ear plugs. Otherwise, very clean and the staff is nice.

Easy to find location with quiet room and kitchen facilities. The oddity was the shared sink for the kitchen and bathroom. The beds and pillows could use an uograde. Watch the price difference with what you expect from expedia and what is charged on check-in. It was only a few dollars, but not taken into account when mentioned.

Staff were friendly and check-in was a breeze. Rooms were spacious and clean with kitchenette facilities (microwave, coffee pot only, no hot plate/cooktop).

I stayed their during the fires. Chase was under evac notice. I wanted to carry on to Vancouver to ensure that I wouldn't be an extra burden to the community. I asked for a refund for one night. They would not give that to me. What a sad display of no empathy and compassion. I'll never stay their again.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. You have booked a room for two night. When you did check-in that time we already informed you that we are on Evacuation alert and asked you that you want to continue with your booking?? That time you didn't say anything and next day you have changed your mind and asking for the refund. That's not fair. We have some rules and regulations which every Guest should have to respect it and follow it. Sorry but unfortunately we have decided not to take your booking again.

Nice motel, terrible service.
There was a loud group of young men in two rooms. When I spoke to the owner about it, they essentially told me it was my responsibility and that they couldn't and wouldn't do anything about it. For the price and customer service, absolutely not worth it.

If you had issue with these people you should have brought it to our notice on same day not on next day and you are expecting us to take round at night time 2 or 3 times that exactly you told us next day and asked for refund as well and we asked other neighbors as well they told us they didn't hear any loud noise. we didn't mentioned it that it is your responsibility we told you that it's our responsibility but we can't awake whole night and take a round. We have to work every day in the morning so we need proper sleep we have told you that. You want refund that's why you have arise this matter otherwise nobody has complained about it.

Okay motel with very nice people running it. Pretty sure there were mouse turds behind the bathroom door, though. Also thought it strange that there were very explicit instructions to not put towels on the floor.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your review. We clean washroom floors and rooms everyday and make sure it should be done in proper way. We are sure that you are mistaken somewhere in reviews with other motels.We never seen any mouse in any of our rooms or not even somebody mentioned about it until now. About towels we didn't mention anything in instructions in our registration forms and not even in rooms instructions.Even if you had any issues, you should have brought it to our notice to solve.please be careful that what you are writing in reviews is affecting on other Guests as it creates negative impression.

The room was wonderful . The lady that checked me in was great as well. But I couldn’t get the TV to work and I tried to call the front desk over and over again with no answer. It wasn’t late yet so I tried to read but the tiny little night stand light kept going out so I had to use my phone light.It also has no light over the sink. The yard area was really wonderful . It’s a great place to stop on a long trip . Just really need somebody to answer the calls from the room

You have booked standard Queen bed and when you did check-in we gave you Delux kitchen unit in same price. We have already mentioned about train tracks in description. Thank you for staying with us.

Car broke down. The Overland was a welcome port in what was beginning to shape up as a pretty good storm. Great people, clean tidy room (smelled nice), older place but super convenient parking. Wish they had a restaurant, but easy walk to A&W.

Train tracks are very close to this motel. Front office hours are limited. For check out we just left keys in the mailbox. I was worrried another person would take our key and enter our room. We checked out 3 hours before staff started work. There was a big spider in my towel when I was having my shower! I realize that can happen anywhere but next time I will drive a bit further and stay in Kamloops.

Nice renovated older motel. Very close to the CPR mainline so very noisy when the engines pass by but the activity seems to have dropped off later in the evening. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

It was a good distance away from the city of Kamloops so was very quiet and safe. Very ma and pa feel, very friendly and overall was a nice stay. The only thing we didn't like was no dining. After driving up and down the main street, we ended up at A & W. Would of loved a nice chinese food restaurant or ? I suggest you shop early and make dinner in the room or go to dinner early.

Thank you for your review. Yes we turn off heater in that side of rooms as Electrician was working on light installation that day so for safety reason so we turned it off for that day,otherwise we set minimum heat temperature to warm the rooms.Sorry for the inconvenience caused by us. Thank you.
