  • Rainbow Barns is a beautifully styled barn conversion which sleeps two guests, in one bright and airy bedroom, with a modern bathroom. This dog friendly holiday home has a spacious open plan living area, complete with well-equipped kitchen, and a peaceful sun terrace at the front, the perfect spot to enjoy the afternoon sun. Rainbow Barns is just a 15 minute walk across the fields to bustling Bourton-on-the-Water, home to a variety of restaurants, pubs, boutiques and local attractions.

    This one bedroom holiday home in Bourton-on-the-Water is perfect for a romantic getaway, or for small families seeking a weekend escape to the Cotswolds. This single storey accommodation is laid out as follows:

    Sitting/dining room/kitchen
    Bright and airy open plan living area with three two-seater sofas, Smart TV with Netflix and Amazon Prime (login details provided), wooden dining table comfortably seating four, electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, toaster, kettle, cafetiere, DAB radio, breakfast bar with three stools, iron and ironing board

    Bath with overhead shower, loo and basin

    Master bedroom (Sleeps 2)
    Rural views, king size bed, toddler bed, built-in wardrobe, two built-in cupboards, hairdryer and mirror

    Enclosed, west facing sun terrace with bistro table with seating for four

    The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)
    Bed linen and towels are provided (duvets are hypoallergenic)
    Off street parking is available for 2 cars
    1 travel cot and 2 highchairs are available on request (please bring your own linen for the travel cot, as this is not provided) 
    2 well-behaved, medium sized dogs are welcome for an additional £30 per booking per dog. For pet rules, please visit our FAQs

Great break

Excellent place to stay. Very roomy accommodation, great location and very helpful / friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend it and if we visit the cotswolds in future will stay here again.

Lovely weekend stay.

We absolutely loved Rainbow barns, it had everything we needed for our weekend away, central location for all the places we wanted to visit. Owners were very helpful and on sight should you need them, 20 minute drive in any direction and you are in some of the most beautiful villages this country has to offer with Burton the water a 4 minute drive away. Can't wait for our next visit.

Located just few steps away from Bourton on the Water this place is very convenient to visit the Cotswold. My son and I we really enjoyed staying in this cottage.

Fab stay

What can I say, we had a fabulous time! Good size rooms, enclosed secluded little veranda, comfortable bed, powerful shower, use of fully enclosed owners field for dogs and lovely friendly owners on site but not intrusive. Had a fabulous stay over the heatwave May bank holiday. Having a dog, it was amazing to be able to find shade at some point on the veranda all day. The converted hay loft was like a little tardis, very spacious and light. There is everything you could need for a comfortable enjoyable stay. Thank you to Cliff and Lucy for the use of their large enclosed field to exercise our dog in the cool parts of the day and the fabulous fresh eggs for breakfast! Would definitely recommend xxx just be aware it’s a steep schlep down to Bourton if you are walking and the fields have stiles if you have a dog but other than that it was fab.

A cosy little stay!

We stayed at Rainbow Barns in November for two nights. The accommodation is a great base for exploring the Cotswolds and is only a 2 minute drive from Bourton on water. You could probably walk it in the summer. We had everything we needed and more, from ironing board and hair dryer to a coffee press and biscuits. We would definitely recommend.

Lovely place to stay

We had a lovely stay at rainbow barns, the accommodation was clean and comfortable and in the perfect location. Our hosts were friendly and helpful, and their dog Ellie came to say hello too. We would highly recommend Rainbow barns and hope to return in the future.

Could be lovely with more attention to detail.

The shower is problematic and hard to use. No tea towel or spare toilet roll was left. The fridge was not clean and the door ledge is broken. The de humidifier in the bedroom has residue green water. The decking area was covered in leaves and overgrown. The price charged did not reflect the standard we have come to expect.

Location was very far away from the center of town I think i had a confusion regarding its location ., as i thoght its close to center Anyway property was nice n clean n we had a good time staying there

Lovely short break

Lovely place to stay with nice walk across fields to Bourton on Water. Rainbow Barns is a lovely little staycation. Very comfortable a d clean. Has everything that you need. The dogs loved it and were very settled. Would definitely recommend!

Great for walks in the country side and a short walk into Bourton

This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we were impressed. Rainbow Barns is perfectly located to explore the area. The accommodation was a good level and was very warm and cozy on the chilly nights. The welcome pack as appreciated. A 20 minute stroll down the hill into Bourton which has an abundance of eateries, coffee and other shops. Well worth a visit. Would recommend Rainbow barns for anyone who prefers to be just on the outskirts of the village and doesn't mind a short walk there and back.

Enjoyed our stay at the Rainbow Barns. The owner and family live on site and were very kind and helpful. It's a bit of a walk into Bourton on the Water and back as it's uphill. But oh so beautiful.

Short Stay in the Cotswolds

After checking in our host came by to check that we had everything we needed which we did. Cliff took the time to explain the walk across the fields for our dog. We found Rainbow Barn to be warm and comfortable, just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the village without being too far away.

We were grateful that we had this lovely place as we had the Nora virus the whole stay. One criticism is that the Dyson vacuum cleaner was full so it was hard to clean at the end. Otherwise the owners were very friendly and we wished we were not sick.

Wintery Cotswolds

Decided to visit Bourton on the Water for a week and very enjoyable it was. Stay Cotswold and particularly Ella were very good in arranging everything. Rainbow Barn is excellent.Close enough to walk to Bourton and close to Fosse Way to visit other town and villages. The Barn is very well equipped,warm and cosy for winter visits. Cliff and Lucy have provided everything you need for a relaxing break.We hope to return soon.

Fantastic Cotswold Stay

We had a great week staying at Rainbow Barn. On arrival we were greeted by Cliff who gave us the run through of things in the barn and the electric gates. Also gave advice of some things to see and do in the area. The barn is very well appointed with everything you could need for your holiday. Its location is superb with Bourton on the Water literally just down the lane. We highly recommend this accommodation and would definitely book it again.

Ideal for us and our 2 dogs

We loved our stay at Rainbow Barns. We left our kids with grandparents and took our dogs away for 2 nights. The cottage was exactly what we needed. Comfortable and spacious, well equipped and very dog friendly. The owners met us and showed us around. They were very friendly but left us alone for our entire stay. The location is just south of Bourton-on-the-water and easy enough to find. We liked being away from the hustle and bustle of the town, but when we did want to go in we were only a few minutes away. We would definitely consider staying again.

Great cottage

Rainbow Barns is a lovely cottage just outside of Bourton, so very peaceful. You can walk into Bourton across a field footpath in about 20 minutes during the day. There was a lovely outside decking area, where you could sit and listen to the birds. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom was a very good size. The kitchen had plenty of cupboards and workspace. There was a dining table and a breakfast bar too. There were several good sized sofas in the living room. We did not have a pet with us but it was well set up for pets too. The owners were very welcoming and we would definetely stay there again.

Not for us

Unfortunately we didn’t enjoy staying at this property. The cleanliness was not great and I wonder if they just rely on the previous visitors to do it to a high standard and therefore don’t check thoroughly. There were crumbs on the table, in the fridge etc. Food items left by previous visitors with no use by dates so just left over and over again, I imagine. The sofas are really low with no substance to them. We took all the scatter cushions to try and get comfortable but that didn’t work so we avoided getting back too early and left early morning. The bed was comfortable but the wardrobes had other peoples clothes, jackets. The bathroom very cramp but again the shower worked ok. Again not looking the cleanest. Such a shame as really spoilt our short break.
