Most staff were friendly but others were constantly grouchy and argumentative with other staff members in front of guests. Bar was well stocked. Breakfast was excellent. Activities were very few.

El desayuno estuvo muy bueno, sin embargo, deben mejorar considerablemente el área de frutas y postres, ya que resultaba muy desagradable la cantidad de moscas presentes. El buffet de la noche no tenía rotación de alimentos; en varias ocasiones la comida permanecía igual por mucho tiempo y no se veía muy atractiva en cuanto a sabor y presentación. Le doy 5 estrellas al área del bar, ya que todo lo que probé allí estuvo excelente. Otro punto a mejorar es el servicio: cuentan con poco personal y los tiempos de espera son demasiado largos. Incluso, al intentar pedir almuerzo, me indicaron que debía regresar en 20 minutos debido a la alta cantidad de órdenes. Si el hotel ofrece la opción de “todo incluido”, debería considerar abrir el salón de cena o añadir más alternativas para los huéspedes, especialmente cuando el hotel está lleno, como fue mi caso. En cuanto a la habitación (308), el baño no contaba con extractor y tenía un fuerte olor a gases, lo cual fue incómodo. En general, mi experiencia fue buena, pero el hotel tiene mucho potencial para mejorar. Solo hace falta mayor atención y compromiso por parte de la gerencia para ofrecer un servicio de calidad acorde a lo que el lugar puede brindar.

The breakfast was really nice, wish there was more food options and activities at night but overall enjoyed my stay. Some property needs work but they are doing renovations so they should be back to normal. staff nice and helpful!

The website is false and misleading, only one pool and only 1 bar and the Italian restaurant is closed for good because it’s now an event center for the casino! Your only options are buffet with no gluten free options as they advertise! You have food at the bar when the lazy chef feels like cooking, the bartenders are awesome kinda felt bad for them to have to listen to everyone complaining about the awful resort! The gym and mini golf (only thing they offer) is outdated and disgusting, too bad because we love Divi but this changed our minds forever

Hotel was short staffed at both bar and grill. We waited an average of 15-20 min to receive food and drinks once order was placed. Some waited longer while others received preferential treatment if they tipped well or were friends with staff. Dinner choices were limited if you ate late. Only One washer in laundry room worked. Hotel was pleasant to look at but staffing improvements are much needed.

My family visited the resort for 4 nights for my birthday. The hotel lobby is nice. The bedroom was nice. Now for the price paid, l was expecting more. Cons: The furniture and building are showing wear. Which is surprising because they said it was recently renovated. The pool has chipped paint at the bottom. The beach is rocky and full of seaweed at the shore. However, once you get past that the water is clear and beautiful. They had only one restaurant open for dinner. Every night the restaurant ran out of food by 7:30 pm. They do have a bar that serves food from 11 am to 10:30 pm. However, the menu is limited and has only 2 sides, French fries and onion rings. They didn’t have onion rings. Overall the food was ok. The drinks were watered down or the mix for the drinks were. This place has seen better days. Pros: the staff was friendly but limited. They worked their tales off. The amenities of activities for water sports were great. The paddle boarding and kayaking ended up being a great experience. The pool went to 8ft which was nice. No kids was nice. The casino was probably my favorite and l don’t gamble. They served food and drinks as well, for a price. The entertainment was good. Overall, it was a nice stay. Relaxing and a lot of potential if they can get it together. One other thing, rent a car. Rent a car. Rent a car!! ❤️

The only positive I can give Carina Bay was the beach location and Scott the bartender. Its a shame they claim this is an all inclusive resort. Food options are extremely limited. Very few choices for dinner, with some of the food not being refilled without having to ask staff. They make limited desserts, so get one early before they are gone. Most of my meals were hamburgers at the pool bar. Not what I expect from an all inclusive. They had advertised an Italian restaurant on site but it was never open during our stay. We were there for 3 days before housekeeping came to empty garbage and change towels. They are definitely not handicap accessible. The only elevator is the service elevator which takes you to the kitchen and then through the dining room to get back outside. There are not access doors if you need them, so if you are unable to get out of your wheelchair, open the door and push it across the large threshold, unfortunately you will have to wait for whoever you are with to notice you are missing and hopefully they find you. Those of you who have service dogs, their website states no dogs. There were at least 2 dogs on the property with their owners. The property also mentions a gift shop. Rest assure there is none. I never saw a fire pit or tennis courts. There are also not 2 pools. They have 1 large pool and a small hot tub next to it. There was only one night with entertainment which consisted of a DJ and a few fire dancers.

Clean, most staff was amazing! All rooms there have private balconies overlooking the ocean which is very close! Beds are comfy and bathroom is updated. Food was decent, pool bar food was the best and available 11am-9:30pm. Drinks and bartenders were the best, they get to know you quickly and are very personable. Front desk was able to meet all our requests, anything you need go see them. Activities directors were lots of fun! They sit out by the pool from 10-5 with tye dye, bracelet making, painting, and will play bingo or trivia upon request. Pool is decent size, very clean and refreshing. Hot tub is big and not too hot for island life, a comfortable warm, especially at night. Casino across the street was great and never busy. They have longer food hours but you have to pay for food, the drinks and pretzels are free all the time. Ocean is perfect for swimming, yes there was seaweed but they had this cool tractor that picked it up off the beach every morning. Lots of cool rocks and shells to find all the time in shore. Bring goggles and you can see the floor of the ocean and find shells in the water too. Perfect sunrises! If you want to be away from party bars and shopping central, in a tranquil paradise to just chill and relax on island time, this is the perfect resort for you! Huge plus its adults only. There are taxis constantly running from the hotel to the many island tourist attractions its just a bit of a drive (30ish mins). We stayed a week at the end if Feb ‘26.

Overall the staff was great, especially the staff at the pool bar. We had no issues with the resort. The onsite dinner restaurant food was OK but nothing exciting but for the price we did not expect a 5 star restaurant. The pool side bar served food pretty much all day and the food there was excellent. It was just bar food but everything was very good. We did not rent a car. Taxis are expensive if you want to get around but our plan was to relax and enjoy the weather so we only left the resort once. It was a very relaxing vacation. If you want a lot of things to do, probably not the best place to go but if you want to relax, book it now.

The check in went very well. The lady that helped us was very nice and courteous. Room was clean and the staff did a good job during the week when we asked them to clean it. The staff at the pool bar was FANTASTIC, friendly and helpful could not have asked for anything better. Drinks were very and the food was excellent. The dining rooms have a lot to work on. Food was cold or slightly warm and staff not very friendly. Some of the food was so salty you could not eat it. Thursday night at 12:10 AM we were woken up to automatic gun fire. Many of the guests heard but the was no response or explanation from the Management. There was no mistaking the sound. People were very uneasy the next day. Something should have been communicated to the guests.

I fell going down the stairs because the hand rail oddly ends before the steps do. I have sent pictures and explanation to management days ago (day we left) and have not recieved a responce. Everything was average. The beach was definitely not the focal point. The employes were hit or miss. Extremely rude bartender 2 days! Pretty sure she was let go but still it was obvious. Place could be better with a more appealing beach presence and lounger chairs. There were several rusted. Room was decent. There was a peice nissing from our closet door. (We didnt ask for it to be fixed) The latch on the patio door was rusted and fell off several times (we secured it back, again without reporting). And there wer these little bugs around the sink and counter above the mini fridge. I mentioned that casually to one of the managers but didnt follow up. We just didt use that area. I asked for a first floor due to my disability and there were none available but they di show mw where the service elevatoe was. I'd rather just carefully use the stairs with haidrails. Props to some of the Amazing staff including Bethany, Orlando, hopefully the new guy fits in good! There
