“Highly recommend the Loft as it was a beautiful space. The Heddle room has a glass window in the door to the bathroom. Technically you could shower in privacy but I would rather a solid door. Staff handled an issue with our original room well. They were immediately available when I called and provided both a short term (moving rooms for the night) and long term solution (fixing the issue) plan within ten minutes. Heddle room is a good option if you need a place to sleep and will be otherwise...

“Yes, room was clean including the air quality. I am highly sensitive to mold and allergies. Was NOT an issue what so ever. Please keep in mind that this place is a living place of historic significance. The original training center for fireman since 1856!!!. Please dont judge it until you get inside. “Old lumpy bed. Sheets that I’m not sure were clean. Nasty shower. Walls were made of cardboard as I could hear conversations next door and above me. Dogs barking. Lots of people coming in well after midnight. Next time I will spend the extra money for the Hampton Inn. ”

“The room was one of the worst hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. It smelled like vomit and I had to use a half bottle of cologne to mask the smell and then my eye's were burning from the cologne. The door to the bathroom had a hole in it that someone spackled over and then just painted. The entire place was a mess. I'll never stay at a La Quinta AGAIN!!”

We had small problems in our individual room in that the night light wasn't working and the bathroom door was very loud and squeaky. Also there were no tea bags and no extra blanket in the room. ”
