Hotel a Coalhurst

“This is the kind of hotel one always wants to stay in. The location was perfect. It was easy to find and conveniently located for exploring downtown, walking to the bridge and hitting the highway for day trips. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We knew there were other guests but, once we were in our room, we didn't hear a sound from the outside world. The pool, slide and hot tub were great to have access to. “Like the old saying goes, "you get what you paid for", and this was the case here. Pros: Room was clean, liked the addition of the small kitchenette area, liked the motel entrance rather than being up several floors in a hotel and fridge and freezer were larger than normal. Cons: beds were terribly uncomfortable, couldn't get air conditioning to work, crank window broken and not usable, only 1 pkg of coffee, kleenex box with perhaps 3 tissues in it, no vending, ATM or ice machine on site. ...

“The staff was very helpful. They were able to place us in a room that according to the hotel front desk person has never had an animal in that room. My husband has bad allergies to animals. The room was nice and clean. The breakfast area was clean and the food was good and organized. The employee at breakfast took care to assist people and keep all the food containers full and clean. We did not use the pool/hot tub but the pool looked very nice. Thank you.”

“The property was well maintained. Staff was very friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was decent. My only criticism for the hotel itself is that the pool was sooo cold that it was unusable. It definitely was not heated. The hot tub was fine but due to medical reasons I could not go in. So I was really disappointed that the pool was unusable. “This was not a comfortable place to stay. It felt old and uncared for, and they only had a thin wool blanket on the bed, and three small pillows (1/2 size) for 2 people. Staff were friendly and customer service was good.”
