“Loved old architecture”

“Stayed for two nights as a stop over whilst going homeward. Wanted to have a look around the area. Room was small but adequate. Clean with en-suite shower. Ate in the dining area of the pub both nights and enjoyed the food. Informal but friendly service by all, and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Recommend a walk to the canal and then the walk to Gloucester on the tow path. It’s well paved and flat and about three miles.”

“Room 9 Bathroom shower was a disaster. One could not turn off the overhead shower fixed head in order to use just the hand-held shower.”

“La pulizia è nella media di posti dello stesso genere: da migliorare. Nel complesso ci siamo trovati bene con la stanza e con il cibo. Colazione continentale buona con cornetti assortiti, bevande calde e fredde, varia scelta di marmellate e cereali e yogurt. Non abbiamo fatto la classica colazione inglese quindi non saprei in merito, però la cucina del pub la sera era buona. Spazio esterno per i bimbi con giochi e verde, recintato. Comodo parcheggio.”

“A little bit difficult to get there but worth the trip. Very nice and comfortable room. Very well stocked with breakfast foods. Very close and easy access to Wales and Eye Valley.”

“The Bowl Inn is exceptional, set in an idyllic location just outside Bristol city centre. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful, and the bedrooms are luxuriously appointed. One of the highlights was the large windows, which open fully onto the stunning surrounding countryside, creating a peaceful and relaxing retreat. Highly recommended.”

“Great location in an historical building (the most charming structure I've been 15 days tour of UK). Unfortunately room condition was disappointing: one of the two matresses and the bath were broken, decoration dated and level of cleaning below average. It is a pity such a great place is not delivering in the rooms the potential that is there”
