“We were very happy with our stay, the staff were very welcoming when we arrived and throughout our stay. Our room over looked the beach/sea, well presented. The bed comfortable and the room was very quiet. My only concern was the smell of cigarette smoke drifting up from the balcony below. The breakfast was very tasty with plenty of choice. “We booked this last minute and, given the price, I wasn’t expecting much—but I was genuinely surprised at how great our stay turned out to be. The accommodation had everything we needed, and the very good WiFi included in the price was a big bonus. The onsite restaurant served delicious, reasonably priced food, which made our stay even more enjoyable. I also have to mention the staff, who were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout. Every member of staff we met were warm and friendly and the cooked breakfast was superb. Appledore is such a lovely destination and a stay at the Royal George makes it all the more special.
