“This hotel was my favourite of the four we stayed at on Vancouver Island. It was in a good location, room was large and amenities and cleanliness were superb!”

“We really enjoyed our time at the motel. We had a family room at the top of the complex. Although older, the room was comfortable and well suited to a family with two teenagers. The thing that really made the stay memorable was the amazing view over the water. ”

“The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom looks recently renovated. It’s close to Townsite Brewing which had some of the best beer I have tried in a very long time! Close to food as well! Definitely recommend! ”

“Riding Fool Hostel never disappoints. Staff have always been friendly and helpful. Rooms and washrooms are clean and well stocked. The only issue we had, given the warm seasonal temperatures, was that the rooms were uncomfortably hot at night. Fans were available however, they were not quite enough to keep the air flowing. Maybe an unreasonable suggestion but a vent at bottom of door and top of door frame would likely assist in drawing in the air-conditioned air from the common areas....

“The mattress was lovely and I got good nights’ sleep. Parking was excellent. Location is right on a main thoroughfare but nonetheless quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Kitchenette was adequately stocked; fridge, freezer, microwave all worked well. I didn’t try the stove and oven but they appeared to be in excellent condition. Altogether an ideal place to stay.”
