The house and property and gorgeous, the breakfast is big and delicious, and the programs that they run are great. I attended a Reiki circle that I found very helpful and relaxing. The shiatsu massage chairs are also excellent. I would return and I will recommend Rising Star!”

“This is one of the smartest, inviting and friendly hotels we've had the pleasure to stay at. The room had everything you could want: a comfortable bed, a spacious shower, true blackout blinds, a garbage can that has a spot for recycling, a well sized desk and a Smart TV that was easy to navigate. The breakfast was above and beyond. Lots of hot and cold options. And the best part - a large, colourful, inviting space to enjoy it in! No stark white rooms with cramped tables and harsh lighting...

If they were all like this I would NEVER stay in a hotel again.”

“Great host, Rose cares about her guests you can tell that right away. The room we stayed in was beautiful, the cleanest I think I’ve ever stayed in and it was fully stocked with soaps, coffee & even makeup wipes for my wife. Rose accommodated dietary restrictions for our breakfast no problem. The perfect place to stay for couples visiting Port Hope and looking for something a bit more special than a hotel. Summertime would be even better. ”

“The rooms are quite dated and the ceiling looked sketchy. Also the lighting wasn't great. It was quite bright and no way to dim it. No lamps either. However, I gave it four stars because of the lower price and I did not expect the Hilton!”
