“Very disappointing stay – major issue with trains In hindsight, I wish I had paid more attention to previous reviews before booking. The biggest issue by far is the railway line immediately next to the lodges. Trains pass extremely frequently, including late into the night and again early in the morning. “Place smelled horrible. Bedsheets were stained. Mold all over the shared bathroom. I found a pair of used underwear beneath my mattress. The place had not been vacuumed in ages. Very shocked Expedia would allow a place like this to remain on their website. ”

The only thing that let our stay down and the reason for 3 stars was the rooms. They were very tired and could have been better maintained - scuffs on walls, dripping tap, toilet that didn’t flush properly and untidy sealant in bathroom. We also asked the cleaner to re-clean the room as there was dust and a cobweb which was done...
