Hotel vicino a Congress Theatre - Eastbourne

“The staff were amazing from the front desk Darcy and mum to the night porter, who could not do enough for us brilliant. Would recommend to all ages and jealous that we’re not still there. Carnival was great; only thing is if you’re down for this event next year, find parking first early, as it’s at a premiere. Massive shout out again to all. 👍😘”

“I don’t recommend this hotel. Its only positive qualitiy is location. The first room we were given (3rd floor, lift out of order) smelt of stale tobacco smoke (despite 'no smoking' signs). We asked to change. The next room had an unwashed bathroom floor. The 3rd was small but we took it because it was cleaner and had a better view. When I noticed there was only one bath towel, I went down to speak to the male receptionist. I collected the extra towel from his office but the teabags he agreed to...

“This is a cheap and cheerful hotel so expect to get exactly what you pay for which is a comfy bed and bathroom facilities. UHT milk on both nights was off so couldn’t have morning cuppa, no cold water as it was running warm, could turn shower on but had a fight to turn it off!! Best part an unidentified fire alarm at 5.45am on first night. Would I stay here again definitely not !!”

“Situated in a lovely area of the Sussex Downs this small country pub provided ideal accommodation for our visit to Glyndbourne. Clean, simple but well appointed accommodation, with a good breakfast provided in the morning. Long Man Best Ale in cask available at the bar, which was a treat.”

“Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. ”
