“Great location, excellent staff. My room had a wonderful sea view. There was a relatively new carpet and a really comfortable bed, but there were a few cracks in the bathroom sink that needed repair and the paintwork was a bit tired. It didn’t take away from a relaxing stay and would definitely consider it again.”

“There was nothing I liked. It was rundown & in need of refurbishment. My bathroom was dirty and the carpets had stains all over them. The lift didn’t work & I was on the third floor. I would never recommend it & it spoilt my stay in Eastbourne.”

“Trains were cancelled due to an incident & we found ourselves stuck. The Cavendish came up on expedia as a good rating & so we booked 2 rooms. The staff were unwelcoming & unhelpful. We were given 2 box rooms at the back of the hotel looking into a wall. The rooms smelt awful - dank & musty. The facilities were old, the beds were like wood & you were afforded only 1 pillow. We asked to be moved & were offered an equally bad room in the same area. We were eventually given a room on a different...
