Only stayed for one night before moving across the street due to a flight change. Room was small but adequate. Service was great until checkout. We only stayed one night but spent 450 euros at the hotel on meals and drinks (in addition to the room rate). When it came to checkout at 11:00AM we asked if we could hang out by the pool for a couple of hrs, drink and eat lunch (spend more money at the hotel). We were told we would have to pay an additional 30 euros per person in order to have pool privilege after our 11:00 AM checkout. After we told them no chance well just go across the street and hang out by that pool while we wait for our room, the receptionist flagged us down because we forgot to pay for a bag of potatoes chips (3 euros). I understand the hotel needs to make money and things need to be paid for but common sense would probably dictate otherwise. Spending 450 euros on food and drinks in one night, you would think someone would figure out that we're probably the type of guests that you would want to keep happy (and have them return). It's a shame that one employee / hotel policy ruined an entire stay - almost comical. I guess the moral of the story is that 5 star customers shouldn't be staying at 4 star hotels after all. Definitely won't be returning.
