“No reception which was a bit strange although understand that is the future. The emergency porter available to answer any questions and easy to come and go. Comfortable beds!”

“Very dog friendly stay, dog allowed everywhere. Excellent crockery pitch across the small bridge for dog exercise and poo bin by entrance to hotel. Breakfast was great, though no cereal which was odd. Rooms well equipped, kettle and nespresso coffee maker, plus both still and sparkling water with fresh milk in the pantry (where there are also top ups of tea, coffee and water plus ice). Second time here and we'll be back again”

“The best part of our stay was the food in the restaurant. It was exceptional. The worst part was the 38 steps up to our top floor room and the quarter mile walk to the car park. The bed was comfortable, the Nespresso coffee maker was nice and the shower was just OK, having only a rain head and no wand. The bar is great for what’s on the bar menu but lame for US cocktails. For instance, the bartender didn’t know what either a manhattan or Rob Roy was.”

“Personale carinissimo. Camera strana, era in discesa e disposta in modo molto strano, abbiamo dormito con la testa in discesa e i piedi in salita. Altra cosa da rivedere è il lavandino, troppo troppo piccolo e con la mensola proprio sopra, se ti vuoi avvicinare per lavarti la faccia devi appoggiare la fronte sulla mensola. Comunque la pulizia era buona, personalmente e servizio molto disponibili e cordiali. Ci ritornerei, magari in una stanza diversa. ”

“Hotel molto carino in pieno centro con arredamento classico della zona. Bello il giardino dove si può mangiare e la sala colazione. Unici nei sono stati la camera al secondo piano senza ascensore e con scale strette che hanno reso non troppo agevole la gestione bagagli ed un bagno un po' datato ma nell'insieme positivo sicuramente. ”

“The location of the hotel in the village of Crudwell is very beautiful and charming, and overall our stay went well. The room was fairly spacious, although there are several aspects that could be improved. The hotel in general feels a bit dated and not particularly clean. Breakfast was not very satisfying and lacked attention to detail. The owners, however, are kind and welcoming.”

“Amazing old building, wonderful period and eclectic decor. Breakfasts are the best ever - huge selection and all equally delicious (and generously sized!) Staff and especially Manager Kerry were super helpful and charming. Dinners and lunches were also very good. Service was spotty and a bit haphazard. Internet was not consistent and you had to log in at least three times a day! Room (‘character’) was OK - a bit dark and dingy given the small window and dark paint. On the small side. The...

“Well positioned a short way up a small hill. Nice tasty meals. However the outside of the shower tray needed a deep clean and our room only had a skylight window which resulted in it being very warm, even at night, in the high temperatures.”

“Camera spaziosa, carina, dotata di diversi comfort (asse, ferro da stiro, asciugacapelli, bollitore, ecc) e con bagno grande. Posto auto all’esterno gratuito e pub (con cibo ottimo) sotto le camere ma che non disturba assolutamente la quiete. Non abbiamo consumato la colazione. Consigliato! ”

Mancanze in alcuni servizi (es. in 4 giorni di pernotto solo un giorno cambio biancheria e tappetino doccia). Molto gentile e disponibile la proprietaria. In generale un B&B da consigliare. ”

“It is a travesty to call the Wiltshire hotel a spa. We had had a long day travelling and were looking forward to a really nice spa experience. We were given a locker key and a sad towel, no robe. The ladies changing rooms were a disgrace. Broken tiles, grubby floor and a section had been roped off. The pool area was dirty with broken tiles, and mould on the floor tiles. The jacuzzi wasn’t working, neither was the steam room. The hot sauna was good but the pool temperature was on the low side. ...
