The full kitchen with gorgeous Cambria quartz countertops and built in wine cooler have everything you need to entertain either in the full dining room or the outdoor sunroom both overlooking the river.

Please enjoy the dual gas stone fireplaces on both the first floor and downstairs walk out entertainment room that features 8+ foot ceiling and full windows to ensure you get the best views of the Mississippi no matter what floor you are on. When you are not soaking up the outdoor views in the hot tub spend time with family and friends with dozens of games, children's books and an air hockey/ping pong table. Not enough? This rental is the creme of the crop for private outdoor space in the De Soto area. Outside you have access to a stunning fire pit in the front yard and a secondary portable fire pit on the back patio. There is also a covered front porch with patio furniture. In summary, that's two raised decks, a sun room, a front porch, fire pit and back patio with second fire pit and a hot tub! If that's not enough feel free to explore the 10 acres of wooded and open private land that only you have access to.

There is also plenty to do in the immediate area. Take advantage of being in the heart of the driftless region central to Viroqua, LaCrosse and Prairie du Chien. Pizza, coffee, bars, breweries and wineries are all a short drive away. Indulge in Amish Bakeries and Wisconsin Cheese outlets also in close proximity.

Hiking, biking and some of the best fly fishing around are a short throw from the cabin. Effigy mounds national monument, Mount Hosmer Park, Goose Island Campground, Blackhawk county park, Genoa National Fish Hatchery, Rush Creek State Natural Area & Sugar Creek are all within an hour away. Hunting and wildlife abound including Bald Eagles, deer, wild turkey & more.

Paddle Boarding and Boating are also excellent Summertime options. Feel free to use our complimentary inflatable canoe or explore the area with our own river front trail head starting right from our own back yard!

Hot tub is running and available year-round! For winter activities, De Soto offers great ice fishing (pending adequate ice). Winter hiking can be done locally at Rush Creek State Natural Area. This is also snowfall dependent as parking areas may not always be plowed. For snowshoeing or cross-country skiing, the best location would be a day trip (1hr drive) to Wyalusing State Park just south of Prairie du Chien where they have groomed trails. For snowmobiling, the Vernon County trail network runs through Genoa, WI which is about 15 miles north of De Soto. There is also snowboarding and skiing available about 40 minutes away at Mt La Crosse Ski Resort.
