Terrible and Traumatizing Experience – Unacceptable Treatment
I had a very disturbing experience at this hotel and would not recommend it.
I booked a room through Expedia that clearly included breakfast and airport shuttle service. At check-in, the front desk attendant told me I would need to pay extra for the shuttle. I calmly explained that my reservation showed the shuttle as included and that I was simply asking for clarification—not arguing about money.
Instead of helping, the attendant repeatedly said I was wrong and insisted I had to pay to check in. When I politely asked if a manager could clarify the issue, another front desk employee suddenly came over and said she was calling the police. My wife and I were completely shocked.
The staff began speaking loudly, and shortly after, the manager spoke on the phone (on speaker) saying, “We are denying service and canceling your reservation.” I tried to explain again, calmly, but the phone was taken away and the employee walked off.
When I asked about a refund, I was told to “call Expedia.” At that point, I said I would rather wait for the police since they had already been mentioned.
The entire situation was stressful, humiliating, and traumatic. After I begged them to reconsider, they suddenly allowed us to check in. We stayed only from about 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM and felt harassed, threatened, and disrespected the entire time.
No guest should be treated this way for calmly asking a reasonable question.
