This charming casita, built in 1873 on one of Golden’s original stagecoach stops, blends history with modern updates. This unique property features four buildings; the Old House (short term rental), Casita (short term rental), The Straw Bale House (long term tenant residence), and an old Vet`s office. This listing is for the Casita only. Please note that another unique feature of the property is that the Golden History Tours start in the old Vet`s office on site- adjacent to the Casita. There may at times be tour groups on the property for short periods of time. Reach out to inquire about tour discounts!
BEDROOMS This home is a 1 bedroom studio apartment with a Queen bed + sleeper sofa, comfortably accommodating up to 4 guests.
Bedroom 1 – A cozy and inviting Queen bed with a smart TV, perfect for restful nights. The room is designed for comfort, making it an ideal retreat after a day exploring Golden. Room-darkening curtains ensure a nights` peaceful sleep.
The living room offers additional sleeping space for two with a full sized sleeper sofa.
BATHROOM This home features one full bathroom stocked with all essentials, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and fresh towels.
KITCHEN & DINING The kitchenette is fully equipped for preparing snacks or light meals, and the cozy dining area is perfect for enjoying meals or morning coffee.
LOUNGE & COMFORT Relax by the fireplace in the comfortable lounge area. The home also offers high-speed internet, ideal for streaming, remote work, or planning your Golden adventures.

You’ll have access to the Casita and shared courtyard during your stay. The Straw Bale house is home to a long term tenant, while the Old House is rented separately as a short term rental. The old Vet`s Office and all sheds on the property are strictly off limits and not accessible to guests.
We are only a phone call or text message away. You will be able to self-check-in upon arrival. We are happy to be contacted via phone or through your booking app before, during or after your stay.
Our team is happy to offer extra services such as party decorating, grocery delivery, rentals and more through our local partners. Please reach out to your hosts for more information!

We also include our suggestions for the best things to do in town, our favorite restaurants, activities, hikes, nightlife, and much more. •This home is in a residential area and showing respect to the neighbors is very important. We expect our guests to respect our guest and noise policies at all times- parties will not be tolerated. If you are unsure of what might be considered a party, please reach out to ask and we will be happy to help. Extra fees will be charged if these policies are not adhered to. •Please note that smoking of any kind is forbidden inside and will result in a minimum fine of $250 to cover the cost of mitigation. •Reservations may be subject to extra guest fees. •Early check ins may be requested the day of check in through your electronic guidebook. We do our best to accommodate these requests, however it depends on our calendar and the cleaners schedule. If approved, there is a $50 charge for early check in. •We do not allow late checkouts under any circumstances. The cleaners are very busy and plan their days ahead of time, we expect guests to be checked out by the designated time or a $125 charge will be incurred. •To make your stay more comfortable, we provide a complimentary starter supply of essentials, including toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. For extended stays, we kindly ask that guests replenish any additional items they may need throughout their visit. •Please be aware that the long term tenant residing in the Straw Bale House has a dog that lives on the property. However, the dog is kept separate from the shared courtyard. **Golden History Tours start in the old Vet`s office on site- adjacent to the Casita. There may at times be tour groups on the property for short periods of time. We do not know the tour schedules, and will not be able to notify guests when a tour is planned to be on site. ✔️No smoking in or near the home. You are welcome to have a few guests over to visit but please let us know if you will be doing so. ✔️ Please remove your shoes by the front door ✔️Out of respect for our neighbors, please be mindful of quiet hours from 10pm-8am ✔️We are not able to accommodate late checkouts due to our cleaners busy schedules. There is a late checkout fee of $125 and potentially up to the cost of an extra night if it affects the incoming guests. ✔️Early check ins can be requested through your electronic guidebook the day of check in. We do our best to accommodate these requests, however it is fully dependent on availability. If approved, there is a $50 charge for early check in. ✔️Please ensure you don`t leave anything behind at checkout! There is a fee of $30 plus shipping to have items sent to you after departure. ✔️A hang tag is provided for parking, please note there is a $50 replacement fee if not returned at checkout. ✔️Occupancy of the unit is limited to four (4) adults and their dependents, if any.
