This beautiful basement apartment was designed to accommodate the needs of traveler that come to the Denver area for business or pleasure. Think of this as your home away from home. It is designed for a peaceful and tranquil experience for our guests. This space has blackening shades and curtains, with noise reducing insulation in ceiling to provide for more restful sleep. It has a full kitchen, a Kohler tub, heater flooring in BR, with Washer/Dryer in Unit for your convenience. And an amazing wood-burning fireplace. The couch converts to a queen size Serta bed for your guests that may come in for a visit.

***Early check in at 2 pm ($25) and late check out at 1 pm ($25) - based on availability. Contact Mj within 24 hours of check in to determine availability for an early check in or a late check out.

It worked for what we needed it for. Not a lot of natural light. It’s a basement apt but we opened the kitchen blinds but there was trash and leaves in the window wells. There were some maintenance issues when we got there but MJ came down the next morning and was able to get someone to come over and get it fixed for us. Much appreciated. The stove top is confusing until you get it figured out. There are some basic kitchen items missing that would have been helpful, like kitchen towels, and cutting boards. But overall it was a place to stay and more comfy than a hotel!

Very clean. MJ was very responsive. She allowed an early check in as soon as cleaners were done cleaning. Place has a modern vibe. It is a basement, so we did hear footsteps above when the family was home.

Was a basement apt. So a little cool. Heating was from a wood burning fireplace. Wood was provided. Apt was clean. Dryer was broken. Reported to manager and she responded quickly. She would have to wait for a repair person. Really good location. Bed was very comfortable.

This was a great place to crash and had all of the necessities to cook and clean. I love that it was so close to the interstate which made it convenient to hop on/off for travel to different areas in town. The host was incredibly responsive and forgiving as I accidently broke a vase (very sorry). It was a great place for me and my wife to settle up for the night before exploring the great areas in/around Denver.

Property was as described. Easy to get around with proximity to the highway. Host was in touch to ensure our safe arrival and successful entrance. We did run out of detergent and some cleaning products. Bought more on our own and were reimbursed by the host.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our time in this property. It was a great location and had easy access to everything we wanted to do in Denver. We appreciated the full kitchen, access to washer/dryer, and all the other amenities in the house. The property was clean and comfortable. MJ was a great host and easy to communicate with when needed.

Great Stay

Neighborhood is in central location. It is quiet and there is no parking problem. Apartment has a great kitchen if you wanna save some money and cook yourself. Having washer/dryer was a big plus for us as well.MJ is also very responsive and helpful.

The property was clean and comfortable and in good condition and in a very good location for us visiting our son at University of Denver. It is important to note that it is a basement apartment and you enter in through the owners side/garage entrance. It was totally fine for us. The owner lives upstairs in the house so she is available for any needs. There is a separate entrance and the apartment is separated from the house so it is perfectly fine. Parking is on the street. It felt like a safe neighborhood.

Mj was very responsive when we couldn't figure out how to work the stove top.

Cozy space. We stayed several days and cooked every night. The only suggestion I would make is for more pots and pans and a good chopping knife.

Just be aware

Cute basement apartment, but no emergency egress window of specified size and location as required by the City of Denver in a basement bedroom. Upon discovering this, we felt uncomfortable and unsafe so we packed up and left after 2 hours. VRBO would not refund our money for the 3 nights that we had booked and prepaid. Our mistake was not taking pictures showing the basement windows would have been impossible to have accessed for exit in case of fire. VRBO told us that they do not physically inspect the properties that they list.

Cute and comfy

Great clean, quiet basement apartment with fun atmosphere. Comfy bed, nice linens, plenty cool in August with air conditioner unit. Plenty of cooking basics for a several day stay. In nice quiet neighborhood with plenty of parking. Host very responsive and helpful with special requests. Really lovely space for a small gathering with friends! Thanks, MJ!

Curtains don't match the drapes

Listing pictures do look good but when you get there you see that they made sure to take pictures at correct angles in order to leave things out. When we got there it gave us “Barbarian” vibes. We stuck it out for 2 days but in the end just rented a hotel instead.

Did not end up staying but the host directly communicated with us.

We arrived to the property around 4pm which was check-in time. The exterior of the property had a knocked over basketball hoop and beware of the dog signs. The entrance is very confusing so we found the only door with a keypad. The porch had used glasses and junk on it. As we approached the door the lights seemed to be on which we thought was odd. We then entered the code and a dog started barking and sounded like he was coming right towards us. We took off running to the car and called the host. She was kind and said she would come back to clean, she had thought we were staying the following day. With everything going on there we decided to back out completely. The host immediately refunded our money which we greatly appreciated. The neighborhood was less than we expected but the street was nice. We ended up staying downtown.
