“My husband and I stayed here to visit family in the area. The cabin was very clean and comfortable. Melissa was very friendly and responsive to any questions we had. The location is quiet and relaxing and we enjoyed fires at the firepit both nights. I very highly recommend this cabin and we are planning to come back in the fall to see all the fall colors. ”

“My husband and I stayed for three nights and it was wonderful! The room was very clean, the grounds were beautiful, and the host left plenty of towels! The location is only a few minutes or miles from several different places to eat, drink, hike, bike, kayak, canoe, or tube. ”

“The Castaway Resort was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean and cozy. My views of Croton Dam Pond were fabulous and I even got to see some Baltimore Orioles. I went for a week of solitude to spend time weaving on my little workshop loom. I had the peace and quiet I needed to concentrate. The Hosts, Bob and Joy were 100% available and accommodating, and my sweet dog Poppy was completely welcomed. I would definitely return. I'm thinking maybe in the fall when kids are back in...

“This cozy bungalow worked perfect for our family of 5 as we had friends on the lake and were able to keep our boat at their home. Very clean, smelled fresh when we arrived. The kids loved the loft and 2/3 slept up there comfortably. The 'waterfront' was more like a channel (definitely not swimmable) but my kids enjoyed the wildlife and catching frogs. I liked sitting out in the morning having my cup of coffee. Wound rent again 😉 Thank you”

“Just like the pictures. Very quiet for the 4th of July. Jasmir was very responsive to our inquiries. Price was very reasonable. The water was great for drinking as we don't drink bottle water and the shower was fabulous. Good water pressure and very hot water. I would definitely recommend staying.”

“When we came everything was clean and ready. It was very quiet. The kids enjoyed swimming in the river and kayaking as well. The house had plenty of space. We look forward to visiting again.”

“Liked the seclusion and privacy after working was very surprised on hot and humid days house stayed cool even without ac. Wifi was more for my experience and work I wish I could have accessed.....overall great place for seclusion and privacy.”

We enjoyed mountain biking, fishing, hiking, and kayaking during the day and loved relaxing on the outdoor swing and by the firepit at night. Melissa was so friendly and welcoming. This peaceful resort has all the right ingredients for a memorable getaway. ”
