“The bathroom had a nice long counter, the towels were nice and soft, but the shower was lukewarm at best and took awhile to be warm at all. The refrigerator was nice with a freezer compartment. I just stayed one night so it was okay.”

“Check in was terrible, it took a long time and the staff guy wasn't very attentive, he give me the room with a damaged door lock, it did not open all the way and you have to push the door so hard in order to open it, I went to see if I can change rooms but couldn't find anybody at the reception, also is very noisy, you can heard doors slamming all night and loud conversations, I'm staying in a different hotel for my next visit!!!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, the beds were very comfortable. It was impeccably, clean, and well appointed. The breakfast was adequate, but not all the homemade food items that we were led to believe reading other reviews. The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend a stay there. There are several restaurants and interesting things to see around town. We booked through Expedia and got a pretty good deal.”

“The booking photos are deceiving as it was very old, poor linens, stale smell. Hair on the linens, on the floor, sink and shower, other peoples hair everywhere! I paid the bill as I had too and left. It had a very bad energy and vibe. Like bad things happen in these seedy places. Never again will I hope a deal works out. Pay the extra. Not a healthy place. It makes you feel weird. Maybe a truck driver can gut it out but not the normal everyday person. Dirty in and out! Stay away....unless you...

“The staff was very kind and the room was okay. My only complaints were there was a very loud train nearby and the floors were really gross. We weren’t able to take our shoes off and when we did fresh out of the shower when we didn’t know, our feet were black. ”

“A great little place. I’d enjoyed a stay here one time before—on a Monday night. This time it was a Wednesday so The Laurel was open! I checked in at 7:45 so only 15 minutes before closing. I walked down the stairs, they gave me a table, I had a fantastic cocktail and very very tasty steak bites with nice accompaniment. They made sure I got a shot at a second drink before closing as well. The rooms are delightfully furnished and the bathrooms are a standout feature. As they mention on premises,...
