“Restaurant shut. Paint peeling in rooms. Room was fairly cold and you could hear noise from close by rooms. Some TV channels, including BBC1 and 2, pixilated so impossible to watch. No chair to sit on in the room. Staff ok but unable to offer alternative room as I was told it was full. Location fine, right in Stourbridge town centre and there were plenty of places to eat within five minutes walk of the hotel.”

“Arrived late and left early, hotel was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was good, although a little slow.”

“Stay clear! Don’t know when the photos were taken but it’s not like that now! We arrived at house and knocked door to get access to lodge… no answer! Just a faded note we couldn’t read and guttering falling around front door. Anyway thought we would go to lodge to see if we could find anyone only to find mouldy doors, cracked dirty render, rusty cars in parking area and piles of junk outside every door to lodges! Hence we left and booked a holiday inn which was good! I’ve asked for a refund...

“Beautiful clean room , for an old building the creaky , slopping floors were as expected. Very well stocked breakfast but I wasn’t sure where we were supposed to eat it so we went back to our room so perhaps trays should be provided? My only problem was the wedding / house side , I think it confusing. Even though the staff were very friendly, I felt in the way the next day after check out as the bridal party were setting up for their wedding. Perhaps an area could be set up for non wedding...

“Very impressive amenities and luxury comfort throughout. Spotlessly clean and well presented. Pool and gym, cinema and games rooms all over-delivered on expectations.”

“Not great. Room was pretty scruffy and not particularly clean. Windows don’t open at all so no fresh air.”

“Restaurant is closing 12th August - which will be a bind. The bath is super slippery and high - if I wasn’t so tall I’d probably have broken my neck. They need to put in showers. The tap water was never cold - so filling the kettle was tough. They need to install water bottle filling stations - at least in the lobby.”
