“My mother turned 90 in October in Lindisfarne, Tasmania so my wife and I decided to find a house in the Hobart area to take the whole family from Perth WA to celebrate. We were a party of 8 adults and 7 children (aged 5-14) and the house at Old Beach looked as tho it would accommodate all of us. It surpassed our expectations. So much space - living areas upstairs and down enabled us to have some adult time separate from the kids; bedrooms and beds galore; a huge entertainer’s kitchen and massive...

“😀 Das Charles Reuben Estate ist eine wunderschöne Unterkunft, sehr geräumig mit einem besonderen Flair. Es ist in einer ruhigen Weingegend angesiedelt. 🙁 Wir wollten den BBQ benutzen, dieser war aber derart schmutzig, dass wir unser Stück Fleisch in der Pfanne gebraten haben. Schade dass beim Schlafzimmer kein Badezimmer vorhanden ist, wer ab und zu in der Nacht raus muss hat nicht gerade Freude die Treppen hinunter und wieder hinauf.”

“What a little gem to stay at. Well appointed, games, books and DVDS. Clean, quiet and easy off street parking. Comfy bed and even Tim Tams. Im more a white Tim Tam person, but now I'm being picky. Its close to the main st of Richmond and an easy drive to Hobart. Communication was easy and clear. Really enjoyed our stay.”

“Comfortable accommodation though the bed was a little hard. Pet friendly but surprised the area surrounding the cottage was not fenced so the dog had to be tied up. The grass needed to be mown and was concerned there could be snakes lurking in the long grass. Overall, a good place to stay, quiet and a 20 minute walk into Richmond.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Bridge Cottage, thank you Jo Anne for sharing the history with us. It was so awesome to look out our window directly at the historic Richmond Bridge.”

“Overall, the property condition is average. Some areas will need repair, and there’s still much room for improvement. One thing I didn’t like was that on the first day of check-in there was a very strong curry smell throughout the house. I had to open the windows to air it out, but the smell was still present and didn’t fully go away during our stay.”
