“Unfortunately the jacuzzi was broken. The spa was closed. The town was empty and very depressed. The bar was very nice. The room was clean, but the mosquitoes were out of control and could eat you up alive. There was basically no beach”

“I like that they offered a delicious breakfast for a reasonable price. The room was very clean and the AC worked well. Internet connection was not the best and I wish there were more place around for food delivery to the hotel. Other than that I enjoyed my stay. It felt safe in the gates of the hotel and a great place to walk near the water.”

“Just what I needed to decompress from the hustle and bustle of life in main land America. Corina and Ryan's efforts to infuse history throughout the property was especially meaningful. It was a perfect mix of tranquility and modern amenities.”

“The home is just as pictured.Very clean and cozy. Ocean view. Everything was in walking distance beach 4 min walk restaurant, and stores also. The host Charles is a really nice guy .Truly had a great time. I hope to be back soon .”

“Super location for diving and snorkeling. Apartment was perfect for 2 or 3 people. Comfortable with a king bed, loveseat/sofa bed and chair. Porch had a great view and seating to relax. Even when it was warm the apartment stayed cool. Host responded to all questions in a timely manner. Pool was super clean and refreshing. Lots of seating. Power outages are a thing at times but never lasted more than an hour. Local restaurants are fun and friendly. I highly recommend and would return.”

“Being met at the airport was just the start of a most fantastic vacation! Roy and Bonnie have created a five-star experience with all the comforts of home-from-home. Peace and tranquility, surrounded by lush rainforest and yet with easy access to Centerline, made this a truly great way to get the best out of St Croix. Up-to-date appliances, including washer/dryer and reliable wifi, all added up to a superb experience.”

“We extended our stay by 2 nights and needed a place to stay. The Mermaid worked out fine for us (could use a new mattress) and the view was amazing! The owner was great and very easy to work with and replied to us right away. We did not enjoy the ride to get up there, but we were warned about it in the description. You do need an SUV to travel up there. Thanks for the stay!”
