“Nice place to stay”

“We loved our stay. It is such an elegant home with a nice connection to Canadian history. It was expertly updated and is extremely comfortable. Elizabeth and Glenn were consummate hosts, with a warm welcome and delicious breakfast. Parking is easy, location excellent. We traveled to Pictou for a concert at the DeCoste Centre (also amazing and within walking distance) and Seabank House was obviously the right choice because the performer also stayed there. “It’s a shame that this inn lacks investment and renovation. The owner works hard and tries her best but the establishment is in need of modernization. Musty smell from the old carpets, old bathrooms and badly locking doors. I felt that I didn’t get value for money compared to the other inns and bed & breakfasts we stayed in during our time in Nova Scotia. This was probably the most expensive but the least value. “Really comfortable bed clean room and friendly staff”

“I read the other reviews before booking and I thought that I would be able to handle it. I've traveled all over and stayed in some really disgusting hostels so I thought the room wouldn't be so bad in comparison. I don't mind the stains on the chairs or the holes in the comforters, as long as the sheets are clean (which they were), but the smell of the room was terrible. Someone had obviously smoked a lot in there. The shower curtain had mold all over it; those are not expensive to replace...

“Everything was wonderful. The staff were just lovely. The only problem was we found the bed uncomfortable. It wasn’t unbearable, for one night. Overall, I would highly recommend this place. It is beautiful.”
