“Used as a quick one night stay for going to a comedy gig in Brighton. Well worth the money. Staff lovely and room clean. Bathroom was not within our room but we had an assigned bathroom further round the corridor.”

Though on a main road (A275) it is a quiet, unpretentious and old country pub between a couple of other houses (one a former smithy) with convenient parking and an outside sitting/eating area behind, as well as 'bistro' style eating in the large downstairs bar, with a good selection of beers etc. The room and bathroom were simple and spotless,with fine quality towels and bed linen. “We had a wonderful stay at Ockenden Manor, the staff are lovely, service in the restaurant is excellent and very friendly. Shout out to the chef, each dish was beautifully presented and so delicious. We enjoyed every course and then took a walk around the gorgeous gardens. Our room (Luke) was spacious, beautifully decorated with views over the gardens and the bed super comfy. Relaxing in the spa and time around the outdoor pool made for a perfect mini break. We hope to return soon! ”

Room was small but great use of space with the en suite bathroom and with the added extra of a small balcony, it was lovely.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, would definitely stay again ”

The apartment was lovely and clean, there was no oven and it would've been good to have a sheet with operating instructions for the stove for us Gen X'ers, but Danny answered to phone to explain everything and he provided an iron and ironing board too when I asked. I had a great time would love to stay again. Perhaps a table and chairs outside would be nice too.”
