“On a passé deux nuits pour aller-retour en Ecosse. Cet hôtel est situé dans un petit village au calme mais pas très loin du centre ville. Les chambres sont propres avec des meubles et une décoration très chic, le lit est assez grand et confortable. On a aussi dîné dans leur restaurant, c’était délicieux. Le meilleur c’était le petit déjeuner anglais, c’était excellent. Ils ont aussi un parking gratuit, c’est appréciable, je recommande! ”

“The staff and food at dinner were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t run at quite the same standard with a lot of mistakes and delays on orders. “Dovevamo arrivare alle 23 per cui abbiamo scelto di dormire vicino all’aereoporto per arrivare a Londra in mattinata riposati. Siamo arrivati alle 4 di mattina per mega ritardo del volo… scambiando messaggi con l’albergo abbiamo avuto istruzioni precise per accedere comunque alla nostra camera… abbiamo trovato il divano letto da aprire e rifare, e alle 4 di mattina è stato spiacevole! “Rooms were pleasant enough and staff that checked us in were really friendly. No food options but in walking distance to plenty of places and town centre. Nice touch to leave out cereals etc for breakfast. Mirrors in bedroom/bathroom quite small so wasn’t the easiest to get ready. Cleaning staff knocking on our doors at 9:30 to ask us to leave keys in door (fine) but also reminding us check out was at 10 made us feel like we were being rushed out of our rooms (we knew what time check out was)”

“Why do hotel designers think it is OK to have an ensuite bathroom with no door? A curtain is not an adequate replacement for a door. This was a big issue for us. Also the only seating in our room was 1 dining chair and 1 stool when there was room for something more comfortable. I don't want to have to sit on the bed, particularly at the price this hotel came in at. Everything else was very good.”

“I couldn’t have wished for anything better! A spontaneous stay while I attended a course at the Curwen Print Study Centre near by (which is also excellent). The room was large yet super cosy, beautifully decorated with attention to detail. Lots of soft cushions, blankets and fluffy rugs. Everything was clean and tidy, and warm which was very much appreciated. The pub was so welcoming - staff and punters! And the food was home cooked, plentiful and very tasty. Definitely recommend the food 😀”

Really fantastic reception staff, lovely relaxing breakfast area overlooking the green, and very clean rooms including bathroom and kitchenette with new furnishings and fixtures. Downsides would be that the road-facing rooms are a little loud, and for a couple the bed is rather small. Neither were an issue for a single night stay but something to consider if staying for longer. Overall a positive experience though.”
