“The views over the valley, the tea plantations and agricultural land are fantastic. The villa is set up on a hillside, about 3km out of town. It takes approximately a 10 min tuk tuk drive into town. The staff are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautifully presented, mostly made in wood and looking very smart. The room and bathroom were large, clean and well presented. The whole place is beautiful an dis surrounded by beautiful countryside. ”

“Few things were super impressive as follows: 1) All the staffs were so helpful, welcoming and always there for us when we needed. 2) If you prefer something that gives you a traditional vibes apart from a concrete high rise building this place is highly recommended. 3) The entire place was neat and clean along with worthy prices. Besides these nothing was found by me which is problematic or annoying. Long story short,I liked staying there.”

“We had a lovely one night stay at Ferncliff, it was just lovely and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend as a very well run ‘b&b’ type hotel but much more luxurious. Bernard in particular was fantastic, especially his cooking — we had both dinner and breakfast there. Very glad we chose this over the ‘grand hotel’ in the end. ”

“Struttura molto bella ed elegante, arredamenti nuovi e molto pulita, un peccato che abbia alcuni punti di miglioramento: Riscaldamento da accendere prima dell’arrivo degli ospiti in una giornata fredda di pioggia, nessuno del personale presente all’arrivo. Cibo buono ma pessima aspirazione della cucina, odore di cibo diffuso e porte spalancate per areare aumentando ancor più il freddo, nell’ambiente elegante e di charme stonavano l’acqua in bottiglie di plastica e le marmellatine confezionate”

“Clean room, nice new hotel at a good price. Not near any other dining options without a taxi or tuktuk ride except for a nearby coffee place that was decent. Can walk from there down to the lake, community sports grounds and nearby polo grounds. The horses are feeding on the grass at the sports grounds and are being walked by their riders/grooms. Can walk around the lake.”

“Famille de 5 avec 3 enfants. Sejour du 09 au 10 aout 2024. Chambres spacieuses et salles de bain bien entretenues. Accueil formidable. Grande disponibilité. Tv et wifi fonctionnent par intermittance. La dame de l'accueil et du petit dejeuner est charmante et tres serviable. Son petit dejeuner avec tout fait maison comme les crepes, omelettes et pancake est excellent. L'adresse est à recommander et sa position tres centrique à Newara Elya rends tres facile faire tout à pied. Top et encore bravo à...

“What a wonderful little home-stay! If you're after somewhere quiet, yet still close to the centre of Nuwara Eliya, this spot it perfect. No frills, just a comfortable room at an affordable price. Only a short walk to food options (Royal Wok does an excellent biryani). It might be a little hard to find, but message Saman (e.g. via WhatsApp) and they'll collect you from wherever you need - even as far as Colombo airport! Andrew's Lodge is a great option for anyone looking to break up the trip...

“Good spot for a night on the way— simple and clean, with lovely warm service. Probably a bit overpriced but a solid, good option. Food was delicious as well and they accommodated all of our needs.”
