“This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay.”

“Great couple of nights stay. Room was clean, beds comfortable and it was quiet. Didn’t have the breakfast but did have an evening meal in the restaurant which was nice. Would stay again and would recommend! ”

“Room seemed ok, apart from the fact of being at 4th floor without lift... till I opened the window. Window was opening 4 cms only. Inner curtain , in the room, was full of dead moths and bugs, DISGUSTING. Basil was CRACKED and all ceiling corners full of soiders nets. DISGUSTING. Bed very old.”

“This property claims to be accessible throughout its website; however, they only have one accessible room on the ground floor. The hotel itself is not accessible, nor are the rooms. As someone with a disability, I had to navigate two steep staircases to reach my room, which also contained stairs. The bathroom was extremely small and unsafe for disabled individuals. Fortunately, a family member was present to assist me, as I shudder to think what might have happened otherwise. No staff offered to...

“Breakfast was fine. Staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. Very disappointed that we were not advised in advance there would be major building construction at the hotel. More so right outside our window. In addition to having carpentry work on the doors with tools blocking the corridor inside. A strange phenomenon was the toilet. My wife and I both disabled found it near impossible to flush the toilet. The flushing button was difficult to access and use especially at night. ”

“This place is quaint but not super welcoming. The cottage was cute but not the comfiest beds. We didn’t get a code to check in and didn’t realise the reception would be unmanned. The continental breakfast was a bit odd - self service without clear instructions. Wasn’t all put out at 8am and then a girl came and brought some more things. Had to make our own coffee. ”
