WHAT GUESTS SHOULD KNOW BEFORE BOOKING
· Our condo is in a secure building, and you’ll need to pick up a fob and key from a nearby store just a 1-minute walk away to access the building. Please note that the building doors lock at 5:00 PM, so the fob is required for entry after this time. The store closes at 9:00 PM, so check-ins after 9:00 PM cannot be accommodated.

· 2 full bathrooms — master ensuite for added privacy + second full bathroom with shower/tub combination

· We provide a starter pack of essentials including complimentary WiFi, Netflix, tea and coffee, soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and other basics to get you started. Supplies are set up to last approximately 7 days. For extended stays beyond this, guests will need to purchase and maintain any additional items they require.

· Whether you want to cozy up by the gas fireplace, stream your favourite shows, step out onto the private balcony for a morning coffee, or walk out the door to explore everything downtown Edmonton has to offer — this condo has everything you need!

Guest access
You'll have full and exclusive access to the entire condo throughout your stay — no shared spaces within the unit. Everything pictured, including the gas fireplace, private balcony, and fully stocked kitchen, is yours to enjoy. Self check-in is available via secure keypad — your personalized access code will be provided after booking. 1 secure underground parking stall is included, plus visitor parking at the back of the building for 1 additional vehicle — registration through an application is required. Please note: the condo is located inside a secure building. If arriving after 5:00 PM, building access fob and key must be picked up from Pi-Mart Convenience Store (closes at 9:00 PM) — please plan your arrival accordingly.

IMPORTANT NOTES & POLICIES - PLEASE READ BEFORE BOOKING

PRE-ARRIVAL REQUIREMENTS (AFTER BOOKING)
To ensure a smooth and secure check-in, ALL guests must complete a short pre-arrival process AFTER the booking is confirmed. This is managed through a third-party guest portal and helps protect both you and the home. This verified process keeps everything platform compliant and ensures a worry-free stay for both guests and hosts.

Here's what to expect:

Choose Your Protection Option
‣ Damage Waiver ($56-82 depending on length of stay) – Covers accidental damage up to $700. (No deposit hold required) OR
‣ Refundable Security Deposit ($700) – Pre-authorization only; collected 24 hours before check-in and released 5 days after checkout if no damages, missing items, or issues.

Please note: a 2% payment processing fee is retained by our payment processor — this means the refunded amount will be $686 CAD rather than the full $700. This fee is charged by the processor and is outside of our control. If you cancel your reservation before the deposit is processed, you will not be charged this fee.

Please note: The damage waiver covers accidental damage only. It does not cover smoking, intentional or negligent damage, policy violations, or pet-related issues. Such costs may be charged separately. By booking, you confirm your agreement to these terms.

Rental Agreement
‣ Confirms you've reviewed our terms and helps us verify that all stays are safe, respectful, and fully insured.

ID & Selfie Verification
‣ A valid ID and selfie are required to verify the booking guest and ensure the safety and integrity of our home.

EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT
‣ We are strict on check-in and check-out times due to cleaning needs, but may allow up to 2 hours of flexibility with at least 24 hours' notice. A small fee may apply and is subject to approval, as early arrivals or late departures aren't always possible. If the home is ready sooner, we'll let you know.

LOST OR FORGOTTEN ITEMS
‣ Please double-check before leaving. Items left behind are stored for 14 days, then donated or discarded. Coordination for pickup or return will incur a shipping and admin fee. We are not responsible for items left, lost, or damaged after departure.

MAIL & PARCELS
‣ We do not have access to a mailbox at this property. Please do not use our address for receiving mail. If you require postal service, contact a local post office for options. For larger parcels, arrange door drop-off or depot pick-up. We are not responsible for retrieving, storing, or replacing any mail or packages that are lost, delayed, or mis-delivered.

MAINTENANCE & ACCESS
‣ Emergencies may require entry without notice. For non-emergencies, we will always provide notice where possible. Guests will always receive a message from us as soon as possible in all situations.

CANCELLATIONS
‣ We follow our posted cancellation policy, please ensure that you read and understand this policy at the time of booking. We strongly recommend obtaining travel insurance to protect against unexpected cancellations or travel disruptions.

LIABILITY, VIOLATIONS & LEGAL NOTES
‣ Guests are responsible for their group. The property owner and/or management company is not liable for personal injury, loss, or damage. Please report any damage promptly and return all provided items to avoid additional charges. Legal action may be taken for chargebacks or unpaid damages, including recovery of legal fees. Violations of house rules may result in immediate termination and removal without refund. Please remember you're staying in our home, not a hotel, treat it with care and respect.

Edmonton convention center

3 of us from different countries were attending a conference at the Edmonton convention center. We wanted a comfortable place with 3 beds within walking distance. This was just perfect for us. We messaged the host several times and always got a very quick reply. Thanks for a nice stay.

Week long stay

Positives: Property was clean and well stocked with all necessities. It showed nice and was in a great area close to downtown. It was well priced. Negatives: Check in process was frustrating and we weren’t given the required code to get the key, and couldn’t reach the rental company right away while trying to sort out what our code was. Garage door opener didn’t work and I had to get out every time I wanted to come or go from the parking garage and open it manually. When I mentioned this to the rental company they didn’t respond. Will rent again. Without these drawbacks it would have been a 5 star stay.

Great Place! Not so Great Check In Process

The condo itself was very nicely decorated and very clean. The location is also in a great sport for downtown activities. My only issue is with the check in process. The keyless fob wasn’t user friendly. The code I was given to unlock the condo was incorrect and I had to contact the host for a new one. The fobs for the garage and to gain entry to the building were missing. I had to walk to the Pi-Mart with my bags and obtain an additional code to retrieve the extra fob. It was all very time consuming and confusing. I have never had issues like this with any other vrbo I’ve stayed at. Other than the check in process, the condo was very nice and was exactly as advertised.

Neon Palace Experience

Check in was very difficult and took over an hour. Door lock code did not work, underground parking fob did not work. After slow to respond communication I received a different code to get access into the unit. Underground parking fob did not work and was not replaced/repaired, which meant each time we entered or left we had to get out of the vehicle and manually press the overhead door opener. The description of the property was not completely accurate as there is only ac in the one bedroom (window unit). The toilet flushing mechanism was broken in the one bathroom. Note: the primary bedroom (king bed) is an air mattress style. Otherwise, the property was well equipped and clean as advertised. The building and area was quieter than I expected. This was a good thing seeing as we had to leave all the windows open and fans running at night to cool off the unit.
