“This might be the prettiest place I ever stayed at. The scenery is spectacular. The hotel is just perfect. It's a beautiful country-house with exceptional food and the service is great. A++. I strongly recommend this. We did the horse and ATV tour and it's a must do. Fly into Wellington and rent a car to see the beautiful scenery on the 2 hr drive. I would love to return.”

“Hotel decadente e vecchio. Nessuno per un giorno intero ha tolto dal corridoio un vassoio con dei piatti sporchi del servizio in camera. Prezzi ingiustificati se non fosse per la colazione che è varia e ha lo staff che prepara uova e pancake freschi. Nella sala colazioni la ragazza all'ingresso ti mette a disagio mentre sono gentili e accoglienti sono alla reception. Non ci tornerei.”

“Have stayed at this location multiple times, with each and every occasion being absolutely wonderful! The staff are so lovely and the rooms are always in impeccable condition with a wide variety of ammenities that I still keep being pleasantly surprised by. I always reccommend Totara Lodge when friends and family mention wanting to find lodging near Wellington and have yet to hear any bad reviews from them either!”

“Still in the process of new owners taking over, so for example can’t accept Amex yet. Most things remain the same - lots of opportunities for new owners to improve, from a fairly average spa with only a few jets working for 3 minutes at a time, to noisy rooms with average aircon. Breakfast very overpriced and omelettes especially poor.”

“Had a small kitchenette with microwave and refrigerator with cookware and dishes. Room was very clean. Had a small balcony.
No restaurant on site but there are options nearby.
There is even a grocery store to buy water and stuff.
We get very safe.
They give access to a well equipped gym which was amazing.
The housekeepers gave us bandaid when my daughter got hurt.
I locked myself out by accident in night- the manager answered the ring and helped open my door within few minutes, even though...

“Parking is disappointing to have to pay - a major was the fact that i had an e-mail and my understanding of the word VALET meant the car was looked after and cleaned inside and out while we weren't using it !!!! the car wasn't in a covered area but at least we were lucky and had one of the few parks outside the hotel but again why such a high price for there own spaces.Lovely and very relaxing bath and good pressure with shower. Lounge room abit basic and obviously no welcome little bits .Poor...
