“Melfort Village is terrific. Beautiful setting and marvellous accommodation. There is a pool, tennis court, putting green, restaurant /bar (great food)and lots of space. The staff are great, enthusiastic and helpful.Walks in the nearby hills or to the lochs. The Village is well placed for access to the magnificent nearby scenery (but do not follow the receptionist recommendation as to how to get to the falls - the road is a nightmare and there is a longer but better way!). “The setting is idyllic in lovely peaceful surroundings, nature all around. The cottage is large, airy and bright and everything you could need was provided. Although quite a distance from Oban, the main road was pretty quiet and a pleasant drive. The pool was an added bonus, but the sauna wasn't working. We were there on the hottest weekend of the year, so didn't need the sauna.”

“We could not have enjoyed Garden Cottage more! Thoroughly modern and comfortable inside and in a charming, peaceful setting. The staff at Melfort Village were so kind and helpful also. I would recommend this cottage/Melfort Village to anyone.”

"The right place for a one night stay. Close to the ferry pier and the fish market. The building is old without lift, reception in the pub at ground floor. The room has everything you need in a tiny space. Windows haven't been renewed, very hard to open. Usb plugs by the bed are a smart idea but unfortunately not working. I asked for luggage deposit next morning as I was on a day tour (like 80% of tourists in Oban) but I wasn't allowed due to a private event. Overall a good value for money if you look for an essential stay. "
