“While the staff were very friendly and helpful. The property itself was like strolling back into 1980. It was not at all what I was expecting to find upon my arrival. Things were clean enough, but very outdated. I will say that the bed was actually very comfortable. The impression I gathered from the website was that of abotuque bed and breakfast, which was not at all the case.”

“Beautiful grounds, roses everywhere! Manager was very helpful and helped with some mail we had. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. There was a lack of tissues. Other than that our stay was good.”

“Whenever I'm traveling thru Southern CT on business, the Lamplighter is my go to for staying over. Clean room. Comfortable bed, plenty of Hot Water, microwave and mini fridge, good TV. Reasonable price, close to the highway. Restaurants within walking distance. It has it all.”

“The building and grounds need maintenance. There's rotting window sills and rain damage on the ceiling, spots of bleach on the carpets and the doorknob of a closet came off in my hand. The TV in the room is incredibly small, the size of a computer screen. You don't come to a hotel to watch TV but like showers, you expect a nice experience. The breakfasts were ok, but not great.”

“AC was not working we changed the room than too the AC did not work properly. Washrooms were choked it was terrible to stay with family Breakfast was below average even bagels and bread were not available we reminded the staff couple of times”

“I stayed here, but there was no lantern or scissors provided, and the lantern in my friend’s unit was broken too. So I asked for a replacement, but I was told there wasn’t one available and to just deal with it. I asked them to help resolve the issue, but all they said was to talk to the manager in the morning. I think that is very poor customer service.”
