“This was nothing like the photos and very disappointing. The room was moldy and dark. The safety latch on the door was broken and so was the lock. We put things in front of the door while we slept because it didn't feel safe there. There were several men wandering the property and we didn't know if they worked there or not. “Very friendly and helpful staff throughout the resort including the pro shop at the golf course. Room was exactly as pictured and expected ! Breakfast choices were plentiful. Beaches were spectacular , and for someone that has been coming down to STX for 30 years - among the best on the island. All of the restaurants were excellent and we ate at all of them. The Welcome Experience on Tuesday night and meeting the owner was refreshing and perfect. The Buccaneer is a must stay!”

“Absolutely gorgeous boutique hotel, the rooms were beautifully decorated, this hotel is mostly for couples, if you are planning to go with friends I advise you to make sure there are double bed rooms available (this was my mistake, not theirs), the owners are amazing, very approachable and quick to respond, EXCELLENT customer service.”

“Awesome views at The Waves!! AMA restaurant and Cane bay beach within close proximity made us want to stay on the north shore all week. Front desk and housekeeping were super helpful and responsive to our needs. If you’re looking for a relaxing vacation in St Croix I would highly recommend staying here. “I would stay here again. We were here 9 years ago and loved it! It was just as good this time. Views are wonderful, beach is very nice and not crowded, bartender Connor was excellent and food truck was delicious!! We fell in love with the cats around our cabin. All in all, this place will always be our place to stay!! ”

“We stayed eight nights and it was okay. I was shocked by the fact that guests have to pay twenty dollars a day to use an umbrella on the beach, and you only get one free lounger, your travel partner will have to pony up 15 bucks. No coffee maker in any of the rooms. Our sliding glass door to the balcony was broken, and we only had WiFi in our room for about 5 minutes the entire time. The pictures are very inaccurate, the place is in shambles from hurricane damage and it’s a bit depressing when...

“Sandcastle hotel was an awesome place to stay. The front desk personnel were helpful at check-in explaining what was available as far as amenities during our stay. The only thing I can say is the continental breakfast offered at the check-in desk needs an improvement. Other than that, the hotel grounds are pleasant and well manicured. “We rented the apartment named "The view". The name couldn't have been more accurate. This apartment had a beautiful view of the bay and buck island. We had a super smooth check in and check out. Place was very clean and the host even had snacks and drinks waiting for us when we arrived. All in all this was a very nice place to stay and well worth the money. I would recommend this place.”
