“Very unique property. Staff at desk not very welcoming. On property shop not well stocked. Bar staff Jay and Lisa were very nice and staff at evening bar were very accommodating. Bell staff didn’t offer to take our bags into room which was strange. Food was good. Great views from room and room was well appointed.”

“The service was good the staff was very friendly and helpful. A few minor inconveniences like the remotes to the tvs not working, no WiFi upon arrival both of which were minor because I didn’t plan to be in the room for the majority of the day but you may want to come home unwind and watch a little tv. Besides that everything else was great, the have a really nice coffee shop on site and sometimes have a live band playing by the pool.”

“This is a great property on a steep hill. Owner Lyndsay was VERY helpful and provided an introduction to the property even volunteering to help me with luggage. The site is walking distance from the downtown area.”

“The Island View was charming, the views were fantastic, and the staff were friendly and attentive! We had an earlier morning and they were very kind to make us a breakfast to go. Food was great! If I had to come up with any complaint it would be that the pool (shaded for a good portion of the day) was a bit chilly, but my husband didn’t mind that.”

I liked the security of the fact that they have a main gate that they lock after hours so random people aren’t coming in. The only downside to this hotel and why I only ranked it. “Everything here was excellent, including the staff, the facilities, the room, the view from the room, the food in the restaurants, the pool, the available water toys (kayak, hobbies, ) and the very attention to details that convey that sense of luxury (ie the shampoo, the towel, the soap, the amazing bedding, etc). They are trying to keep the sargassum away with a barrier and partially succeeding at keeping it under control. The beach is relatively small and facing east.”
