The staff were friendly and helpful. We arrived very early because we had a funeral to attend and they gave us our room to change before the 3pm check in time. The room was lovely and clean with all the usual stuff I expect for 4* hotels. Eg. Tea and coffee, water and washing products. The restaurant was good and the food was nice. Breakfast was good value.

The hotel is a located in a beautiful place. Staffs are friendly and professional. Room is really clean and comfortable. I fully enjoyed the stay. The food served in the restaurant is delicious and good quality. However, the restaurant service is average. I received nothing extra apart being served the plate and they still charged 10% service charge on the bill. Overall, I had a very good experience during the stay.

Beautiful location.
This is the third time we have stayed there. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Staff are welcoming and the rooms and beds are comfortable if a little chilly at times. We had a bar meal which was very good and we were kindly allowed an extra hour before checkout to help with our arrangements or the day. Unfortunately, I left my ‘phone charger in the room and was disappointed that the hotel did not respond to my request to forward it to me.

Over priced and terrible staff
Rudest staff I’ve ever experienced. Hugely overpriced hotel for what is essentially only as good as a premier inn. Wouldn’t ever contemplate staying again. For a hotel that prides itself on being a ‘spa hotel’, the spa is tiny and not worth the £30 per person (spa entry is not included in the room price). Check in time was 3pm, spa closes at 5pm. Very hard to justify charging £60 for 2 people for less than 2 hours! I spend over 150 days a year travelling for work, I can honestly say this is the worst hotel experience I’ve had in a very long time.

Great hotel
First visit to this hotel and the whole place including spa was amazing, our only issue was with dinner...due to a large Christmas party we were put into a room which had no Christmas atmosphere or decorations & looked more like a store room or staff room. After receiving our food the staff practically forgot about us due to the large party which did leave a sour taste, but besides that the rooms were amazing the spa facilities were very nice & would definitely go back minus the 100 people party.

My wife and I stayed at the property on 16th and 17th November for our wing anniversary. The first room allocated to us was the basic double room. Perfectly fine apart from the noise caused by a generator, not bad but my wife is a light sleeper. So we upgraded to another room. Great view of the pond at the front and quiet. Wonderful ! The following ight we were informed by staff that we did not need to pay for the upgrade, so that was a nice treat. The staff were friendly and efficient especially Josna in the spa and Vishnu who was serving in the restaurant. We dined there on the second night and had a great meal. The spa itself was great, clean and welcoming. I rarely write a review for hotels but made an exception in this case. Strongly recommended. My wife wants to return on her birthday in May 2024. Ths again is something we would rarely do. Hope this is helpful.

On arrival was advised they were unable to receive payment that morning on my card which I explained was incorrect given I’d paid the booking agency approx 3 months ago when booked. Hotel clean and restaurant staff very friendly. Restaurant put 10% service charge on our evening bill without asking or mentioning! Very pricey too! On checking out they advised my card had been charged for the previous evening meal… on asking for a breakdown they’d overcharged £58 and the room cost was charged again so in total appt £165 … can’t believe they could have got this so wrong! Thankfully all rectified today!

It was a very pleasant stay at Frensham Pond Country Hotel. Especially the staff deserves a compliment for their kindness and their helpfulness. The use of the spa and the associated costs could be explained a little better to the guests. Overall we can recommend this lovely hotel.

The property and upkeep was great, the only bad thing was some of the staff, no communication and one even arguing with my wife and he accused my wife of giving him the wrong room number to him when it wasnt the case as I was there when she told him.

Stayed in garden room which was lovely and spacious - nice terrace looking out to lawn. Needed to close curtains to avoid people looking in. Ate in bar - food was average. When we had an issue in the morning due to absolutely no hot water, the matter was poorly dealt with - despite reporting it to reception. Left hotel feeling that customer services severely lacking.

All was well with my stay however i found you seem to be very short staffed and i overheard a member of staff say what will happen if we have a wedding . i know you have just moved over to a tab and knew the guys were getting used to it , tried ordering room service no reply so i went to reception and i was told they were busy go to the bar , usually that would be fine however i was feeling rather unwell and thought it prudent to stay in my room just in case i had covid . which after testing i did not , but o be told by reception they couldnt do anything was not great customer service in the end they did sort it out . overall a great stay and would come back .

I loved the location right on Frensham Pond and the view from the dining room was lovely. Unfortunately weather not nice enough to be out on terrace which would have been even better. The hotel was very clean and well cared for and the staff were lovely. A very pleasurable stay.

I can’t see how this property is 4 *. We stayed in room 6 which was incredibly dirty, stains in the rooms, cobwebs on the ceiling and all round the room needs a overhaul. For breakfast the next day it was very full, which is fine, but the buffet area for hot food is just four small plates, so there was never enough food and queues of people just waiting. There is just one coffee machine for what at the time was approx 50 people so as you can imagine lots of queuing. Not ideal for breakfast.

Mid week break
Excellent food and wide ranging menu. Didn't get the room I booked as previous occupants has caused a minor flood however was upgraded. Sadly no walk in shower. Would definitely use again to try the garden room.

Beautiful setting
Amazing hotel, staff and service. Great value for money. The outside setting is beautiful and the lake very pretty. We would definitely return.

Two Day Get Away!
A very picturesque setting with lots of open space to walk/bike etc… Room was very spacious and clean whilst the restaurant provided excellent food. Staff were all very helpful too. Will certainly revisit. TW

We stayed here for one night as we were going to a wedding nearby the next day. Our room was very comfy and clean. We ate dinner at in the bar and the food was very nice. Breakfast was great too, would recommend and go back if we were ever in the area again.
