Thomas Cottage & Bunkhouse at Angel Acres

  • This historic 1935 farmhouse, capped with a tin roof transports you to another era. The 3rd bedroom is a separate building, "bunkhouse" behind the cottage. EV charger available at the house. Fully remodeled including high speed internet and smart TVs. The cottage is open to fabulous views and modern country living with a chef's kitchen. Fincastle is centrally located to area amenities/outdoor activities like hiking, canoeing, kayaking, biking, vineyards, festivals and a night sky for stargazing.
    Back patio includes propane grill to eat or lounge with a full view of the Blue Ridge Mountains, including Sharp Top and Flat Top. Firepit includes a grill attachment if you prefer to cook over wood or charcoal. Firewood available in the shed. Garage is available to store kayaks, canoes, bicycles, or other gear.
    The "bunkhouse" is a separate building behind the cottage for additional sleep/play space finally received the remodel it needed. The bunkhouse building now has updated electric, full over twin bunkbed, smart TV, internet, small fridge, and room heater/ac unit.

    We still have other projects to the surrounding buildings and acres to finish in between bookings.

The house is very clean and charming, decorated beautifully! The view out the back of the house is breathtaking…lovely pastures, farm land, and the stunning Appalachian mountains. The host was easy to contact and promptly responded to any communications. Loved it and would definitely recommend and would stay again!

Home away from home

A happy time was had, if gave us the perfect base for visiting our family in Fincastle. Tha cottage was comfortable, clean and had everything you need to be a home away from home.

Million dollar view! Hostess, Suzanne, was extremely gracious, helpful and friendly without being intruding. Very clean, well equipped kitchen, and everything worked well. Best part was the view and the hostess. Highly recommend.

What a lovely and well done house. It has all of the luxuries of home, peace and quiet, and beautiful views. The host is great and very helpful. We loved our stay.

Weekend Retreat

The house was very impressive. It has been totally renovated with new floors, kitchen and bathrooms. A very pleasant stay. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in the area.

Great Girls weekend

This was the perfect getaway for a long weekend. The location is close to activities in Roanoke but in a wonderful country setting. The cottage is very comfortable. They had everything we could need!

Great place to stay with a gorgeous view. In town for a wedding in Fincastle. Close to groceries and food options, but tucked away in the mountains. Surprisingly spacious on the inside.

Hiking the AT

This was the perfect place to stay to section hike the Appalachian Trail. The view was fabulous. We enjoyed sitting on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed for 2 people. The host was very friendly and timely in her responses.

Beautiful view of countryside. Great accomodations for 2 couples. Host provided every needed household item to make our stay comfortable & enjoyable. Host made us aware that landscaping was a work in progress but view from back patio was spectacular.

Suzanne was most welcoming and gracious! She went above and beyond with her choice of linens and little extras around the house. The view from the kitchen sink is much more spectacular than the picture shows. We truly enjoyed our week's stay. Thank you, Suzanne!

Cute as a button. Traveled with our 3 adult ish kids and had plenty of space to spread out and enjoy this beautiful area of Virginia. Suzanne is a wonderful host who has thought of every detail in the space. The horses in the back pasture are perfect view for starting and ending the day.
