Welcome to Wolf and Bears! Your secluded mountain getaway in Fort Payne, Alabama. This spacious A-frame cabin blends rustic charm with modern comfort, nestled on a private property near Little River Canyon and Grace’s High Falls. The cabin offers open living spaces, large windows with nature views, and thoughtful touches throughout for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

King bed with fresh linens, smart TV with cable, and a walk-in closet. Natural light fills the room from large windows, creating a bright and serene atmosphere.

➤ Bathroom

Large tile shower with rain shower head and color-changing shower light. Towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap provided. Toilet closet and stacked washer & dryer with laundry pods included.

➤ Sauna

Private sauna accessible through the bathroom or back porch, featuring a salt rock light for a calming ambiance.

➤ Kitchen

Fully equipped kitchen with drip coffee maker, Keurig, microwave, pots, pans, baking sheets, drinkware, dinnerware, silverware, and basics like olive oil, salt, and pepper. Coffee starter kit provided for your first day.

➤ Dining

Booth seating for 4, laptop-friendly space perfect for meals or planning your day.

➤ Living Room

Reclining couch, smart TV with cable, and large windows for scenic views. A welcoming space to relax after exploring nearby trails.

Accessible via ladder, twin bed with linens, LED lights, and cozy nook perfect for extra sleeping or reading.

Nestled near Little River Canyon and Grace’s High Falls, this cabin offers immediate access to scenic hikes, waterfalls, and overlooks. The surrounding area is perfect for outdoor adventure and quiet exploration, with charming nearby spots for dining and shopping. Fort Payne`s grocery stores—Walmart, Food City, and Bruce`s Foodland—are a 20-minute drive away, offering a variety of groceries and essentials. For more local items, the Mentone Market is a charming stop for snacks and unique goods.

• Fort Payne Footworks & Outdoors – 20 min drive

An excellent stop for gear, hiking supplies, and local outdoor advice. Whether you need new hiking boots or a walking stick, this store has you covered for your outdoor adventures.

• Vintage 1889 – 20 min drive

A great local restaurant where you can enjoy a Mushroom and Swiss Burger while listening to live music on a Friday night. The perfect spot to unwind after a day of hiking or exploring.

Most cars can easily access the home and nearby areas. There is no public transportation, so bringing your own vehicle or renting one is preferred. While Uber and Lyft are available, getting a ride may not always be easy.

➤ Starter kitchen and bathroom essentials are provided, but guests will need to supply disposables and restock items for the duration of their stay.
➤ Pets allowed with $50 fee per stay. Max 2 dogs under 60 lbs (pre-approval for larger). No cats or aggressive breeds. Keep pets off furniture, clean up after them, and crate if left alone.
➤ Exceeding maximum occupancy is not permitted.
➤ No third-party bookings (must book under your own account).
➤ No parties, events, smoking, vaping, marijuana use, or open flames (candles, incense, sage).
➤ Quiet hours begin at 10:00 pm. Please keep noise to a minimum.

1. Cancellation Policy for Direct Booking Long-Term Reservations (30 days or more):

• For reservations of 30 days or longer, a separate cancellation policy applies.
• Guests will receive a full refund if they cancel at least 30 days before the scheduled check-in date.
• A 50% refund will be issued for cancellations made between 14 and 29 days prior to the scheduled check-in date.
• No refund will be provided for cancellations made 13 days or fewer before the scheduled check-in date.

2. Upon booking, you will receive a rental agreement/check-in form that you are required to sign and return before your arrival.

3. If you are local and / or under the age of 23 please notify us before making your reservation.

4. We will charge a small, non-refundable damage waiver fee to cover any potential accidental property damage during your stay. This fee replaces the traditional security deposit.

5. We would like to inform you that for direct bookings, a 4% credit card fee will be applied to any cancellations and refunds and we will follow the platform`s cancellation policy.

6. Guests acknowledge that they will keep their noise level to a minimum after 10:00 pm; sound will travel through the walls if too loud.

7. No parties or events allowed.

8. Guest must provide us with a valid working phone number & guests listed on the reservation must report to us within 2 hours from the time of arrival if anything in regards to cleanliness does not meet their standards so we can help address the situation as soon as possible.

9. NO SMOKING or use of fire permitted in the rental; guest acknowledges that no `smoking` includes the use of vape pens and marijuana and `use of fire` includes the lighting of candles, incense, or sage. There will be a $200 charge per day of reservation if this rule is not followed.

10. There can not be any more than the allowed number of guests in or on the property at any one time, violation could lead to the immediate removal of all guests without a refund.

11. Late check-out fee of $50 (if not authorized) applies for check-outs after 10:00 am. We`re sorry we have to charge this but we pay our housekeepers based on the agreed-upon checkout time and if they are unable to clean we still have to pay them.

12. Guests who make reservations for over 30 days must sign our standard lease agreement and agree to a background check before check-in (it will be provided before check-in).

13. As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for all guests, we require a midterm cleaning for reservations lasting 30 days or longer. The midterm cleaning will take place on the 15th day of your reservation. This cleaning is mandatory and is designed to ensure the continued cleanliness and hygiene of the property.

14. The cleaning fee for the mandatory mid-stay clean will be deducted from your security deposit.

15. This is a pet-friendly property! We’re glad if you were able to bring your pet along, but please note we have a few additional rules:

• Please note that a $50 Pet fee will be applied per stay.
• We are unable to host cats and breeds of dogs deemed aggressive, per our insurance policy.
• No more than TWO (2) animals, no larger than 60 pounds. If your pet is heavier than 60 pounds, it will require pre-approval from our

This was the BEST weekend trip. Everything was 11/10. Such a cool house with great outdoor and wellness access. Super private property with easy access to amazing hiking & cool restaurants. Spent a day hiking in the canyon as well as cloudland canyon state park. Got groceries at mentone market & lunch at wildflower cafe. It was amazing getting to wake up and start the day with a relaxing sauna, then cooking breakfast and eating on the porch. Truly an unforgettable stay and I can’t wait to come back!!

Most serene setting that I have had the pleasure to experience. Well laid out features within cabin and definitely the detail were well planned. Large decks that allows you to enjoy nature whether rain or shine. Sometimes the deer would wonder up for a visit. Definitely marked for a return visit.

This property had everything you needed. It was very secluded. Loved how it was decorated. the porch had everything you needed to relax. We enjoyed the sauna. Loved all the windows in the bedroom. It was nice to be able to wake up and look out at nature. Wish we would’ve been able to have more time here. It was really close to Little River Canyon. Would definitely recommend this cabin and stay here again!
Wolf overlook was less than a mile from the cabin.

World class!

I have traveled the U.S. extensively and a few places gobally; this place measures up to the best both in terms location and lodging. The canyon is easily accessible but the property its self has walking trails that span the 50 acres. There Zero noise pollutio
