“Clean room but in need of refurbishing. Very hot during our visit so appreciated the fan but would have been more comfortable if the windows had opened fully. Good shower pressure and plenty of hot water but shower control face missing. Staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold offerings.”

“An absolutely brilliant hotel in a truly delightful and historic village. Our bedroom was at the back in what is known as the Cottage. It was extremely comfortable, decorated with great care, and had all necessary amenities. Dining area gave the option of sitting inside or out, and although we did not dine there, we had a wonderful breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. “A nice stay, with a very good breakfast. A few maintenance issues in the bedroom which needed addressing with a paint brush, and some cleaning issues, which were loose cotton threads from the sheets scattered everywhere. Simple stuff to do to get 5 stars, and to ensure standards are as they should be.”

A truly warm welcome and great chat with the staff; all keen to learn and do things the right way. They really are a credit to the management. Rooms still need a little work, mattress on the bed was not great at all, but everywhere clean and tidy. Would happily stay again when in the area for work.”
