Hotel vicino a Gabriel Park - Portland

“This is my second time staying at this motel. Everything was great, check in went smoothly and quickly. The shower head is made for someone taller (I'm not that thin and felt like I had to run around in the shower to get wet) but otherwise the amenities were good for a motel. For some reason the road noise seemed really loud this time--might recommend bringing earplugs. Other than that, I'd definitely stay here again.”

The lady in the morning she wasn't rude or anything she just probably doesn't have the greatest people skills. The only other funky thing was their spa time is 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and then when we went down to get in the spa at 10:00 even though checkout was at 11:00 they said that they were just starting maintenance and it was already a quarter after 10:00. “Bathroom/shower area was really cruddy. Looks like baseboards had never/ever been cleaned. Toilet seat was hanging on to toilet by a thread. Door scraped floor when opening or closing, and hinges needed oiling. Other main issue was that air conditioner would not run continuously, but would cool for a while, and then stop. “All the staff I encountered were really great--super cool and conversational, but the room was a real disappointment. I walked through the door and walked into a wall of stench. It smelled like wet dogs had vacationed in the room. I usually sleep like a rock, but the stink kept me awake for a while. The shower was also not clean. ”

“The room smelled bad. In the morning there was nobody at the front desk until 10:30. Everything was locked, I couldn't even reach anyone on the phone. I chose to check out early, they asked why. I said it didn't feel safe. I felt like I was the only person in the building. Desk person said it was safe, she was behind glass and 2 locked doors.”

“The staff was great and the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean. Our balcony was not clean and had cigarettes butts thrown on the other side of the railing. The air-conditioning unit made a sound like someone was living in the attic. The overall property was very nice and in a nice area by the water.”
