“The property was very clean and the room very spacious. The food was of very good quality and couldnt be faulted. The staff were very helpful. I would highly recommend this for a nice quiet break and place to visit the local area.”

“To tall for the shower I am only 6ft.room was on the small side.miss leading on meals as they was no where at the hotel for meals as the pictures on the advertisement showed .you have to go off site for breakfast.Does not mention this on the advertisement.as I’m disabled it was very difficult to open the door into the room as it was catching on the floor.there was no wardrobe to hang any clothes.”

“Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. “Was a beautiful place. Really helpful hosts. Room-superior king was beautifully presented and had a lovely view over Peasholme Park. It was lovely and peaceful. Access to amenities was easy, A 5 minute walk through park to North Beach. Then took bus which runs every 25 minutes to South Side. Had breakfast in Bella Ross cafe just across road from Park View. Which was excellent then Talk Bar next door in evenings was brilliant 5 star to all 🌟 Had a lovely 3 day stay.”

“I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

“Friendly helpful reception staff. Hotel clean but very dated and old building so floors squeaky, walls paper thin and heard every door bang so disturbed sleep. Location, okay about 15 mins into town. Beds really comfortable. Shower wasnt very powerful. Okay for price. Loved the views from both windows!”

“Lovely big comfy bed. Whilst the room was clean and comfortable the decor was a bit tired. It was a hot day and the only method of cooling was a small fan and we couldnt open the windows. Also the curtain runners need sorting as we couldnt close one of the curtains properly Staff were friendly and efficient and breakfast was very good.”
