“Room smelled like smoke when we got inside so we burned an incense and got put out for smoke smell and it wasn’t even us we had our 1yr old with us . No towels in the room we had to ask front desk I also had to do some cleaning myself the bathroom wasn’t to my standards this hotel use to look way better about 2-3 years ago now after dark it looks like crackhead central lots of activity outside at night even the police were in the parking lot most of the night”

“Overall, the stay was great. Location is perfect for walking around downtown Raleigh. The room was clean, and the beds were very comfortable. The front desk and housekeeping staff were above and beyond when it came to requesting extra towels and sundries (coffee, cups, etc.) and telling us about local information. “The location has alot of potential, clean, helpful staff. But half the doors aren't sealed, the insulation and sound-proofing are sub-par, the AC units struggled to cool the room during the summer, they didn't have the room I'd reserved available forcing us into a smaller room for the same price. Additionally the Ice machine wasn't working, and there was no breakfast layout, just a few things that I had to ask an employee to get from their break room and kitchen (some muffins in plastic bags...

“it may just be me but the room i stayed in could use some long overdue maintenance / refurbishment you could tell the ceiling in the bathroom area is or has gotten wet from the unit above a few times and has since started showing the rot in the ceiling bulging paint pockets that show signs of water saturation. the property is old and the door frame in most units you have to force it to close since the door and frame are not aligning up well anymore, could be hinges warn out or the door frame...

“Called ahead of time to ask about pool. Get there and the pool was closed for renovations. Apparently when you call you dont get front deck but someone from corporate. The parking was an extra charge and across the street this was inconvenient and unexpected. The hotel was close to restaurants and very walkable. The breakfast in the morning had lots of choices and great coffee. Due to parking fees and no pool we wont return.”
