“Arrived 30 mins before check in and was taken straight to our room. The lady that showed us to our room was lovely, and was very kind when my toddler chatted away to her. Room was clean and looked lovely. I liked that you could park right outside your room which was easy to unload the car. The view from the patio was endless countryside and at night it was rural enough that there was no light pollution and could see the stars. Room was well stocked with all types of teas and coffees. “The pub is friendly with good food and staff. The separate block which houses the bedrooms looks boring but the bedrooms inside are incredibly beautiful. I enjoyed underfloor heating in the bathroom and the lovely views of the countryside. ”

“Ottima struttura con ampie camera e bagno. Problemi con le prese a muro risolte il giorno seguente in modo rapido. Purtroppo problemi di riscaldamento che non sono riusciti a risolvere,la stanza era caldissima e quando ho acceso il condizionatore dopo un po' di tempo ha cominciato ad avere perdite per cui ho dovuto spegnerlo Sarebbe stato meglio non rendere disponibile la camera fino alla necessaria manutenzione.”

“Lovely location within easy reach of Wivenhoe and colchester. Our room was in the main house so the room was period therefore furnished with old furniture which is not really to our taste. The bathroom was modern however and spotless. We tried the restaurant for dinner, unfortunately only Sunday roast menu and a few other mains.
