“Stayed there between summer and ski season. Excellent value. Not particularly crowded. Easy drive to lakeside on the quieter north side. Staff helpful and friendly. At the foot of the ski runs literally at the base of the mountains. And on the edge of a great golf course.

“The most unforgettable part of staying here is the stunning natural beauty all around you. The mountains and green trees feel like a postcard come to life. A highlight was the Tram, just a 5–10 minute walk from the hotel, that takes you up to the historic Olympic station from the 1960 Winter Olympics. The scenery at the top is breathtaking, and the food there was delicious — definitely worth staying for lunch.
The village itself feels like a little slice of Europe. Everything you need is within...
“Very nice place. If you like the antique look, you'll love this place. I liked that the living room could be converted into another bedroom, since the bathroom is in the middle of the bedroom and the living room.”
“Enjoyed my weekend trip to Tahoe City. The location was great, after a full day out at the lake. Check in was quick, friendly. Once settled in my room walked the strip that has many options for dinner an shopping. Room was comfortable an at night it was very quiet. Check out was very simple with phenomenal service. “ We were camping and got rained out. Just happened to find this place on Expedia and we're absolutely amazed by such a wonderful Lodge it is. That was 4 years ago and we now always stay at the Granlibakken anytime we are in Tahoe. They have everything here and no need to leave the property. The only draw back is that there is only one ice machine (that we could find) and it is located near the lobby. Other than that, great place to stay for sure!!!”
