“Had everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Fully kitted kitchen and washer dryer for self catering. Very clean and well kept property. 10 min walk to train to the city and 13 min train ride. Shops close by. Very happy with stay. A few more towels would have been nice but we made do, so no complaints.”

“All was great. This is a working stable with horses and those many that have to care for horses, plus at least one friendly dog. You felt welcomed and that was appreciated. With a 15 minute drive you are in North Berwick and so close to John Muir park and Seacliff. Seacliff is special. The only, and minor, negative was that it was not a peaceful place when we were there- lots of tree trimming (Chain saw) and chipping- so very noisy at times. I would guess this is a rare event and suggested to...

“If you want to explore Edinburgh this is a really great location. While compact, we were comfortable as a family of 5, and the kitchen was very well stocked, with some lovely personal touches. Station and supermarket both an easy walk. Very nice.”

“We had a wonderful stay here. The cottage is well equipped, very clean, and extremely comfortable. The view from the windows are stunning, my attached photo doesn’t do it justice at all. Our host, Richard, was helpful and friendly, sending all the information we needed in good time, and checking everything went well with arrival, our stay, and departure. We fell in love with the area, and are very much looking forward to returning very soon. ”

“The property was very nice, very clean, had a lovely little sunny spot to sit outside.Extremely quiet and peaceful.Good location for seeing all the local attractions.Found a lovely restaurant in Haddington called riverside bistro.”

“The house was perfect for our multi-generational family vacation. The children (2-5 years old) loved the yard and game room, and the adults got the game room to themselves when the children went to bed. The grounds are lovely and well maintained and the house is very comfortable. Martin, our host, was very responsive. We did not rent cars, so we used a tour company for day trips and also used taxis for nearby destinations. Thank you Martin!”

“The house is very comfortable. It is in a quiet neighbourhood close to the ocean. Lots of room, lots of dishes etc.If I could make a few suggestions, they would be: more kitchen towels( one for 5 people is not enough) a drying rack for clothes as there is a washer but no dryer. As well, the pots that have non stick coating need to be replaced as the coating is peeling. Rail service to Edinburgh is very reliable and fast. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting the Edinburgh area. Just...

“Gorgeous place and location. Very high spec bathrooms and kitchen. Loads of space. We went for a wedding so didn't spend lots of time in the property but we were able to cook our dinner every day we were there without being on top of each other. Fabulous stay”

"Abbiamo soggiornato in questo incantevole hotel situato in un grazioso paesino appena fuori Edimburgo, e l’esperienza è stata davvero positiva. Nonostante la posizione sembri un po’ decentrata, i collegamenti con la città sono eccellenti: c’è una fermata dell’autobus proprio davanti alla struttura e una stazione ferroviaria raggiungibile con una passeggiata di 10 minuti, che permette di arrivare nel cuore di Edimburgo in modo semplice e veloce. Il personale è gentilissimo, accogliente e sempre disponibile, pronto a offrire consigli utili e a far sentire gli ospiti come a casa. L’atmosfera è rilassata e familiare, perfetta per chi cerca un soggiorno tranquillo lontano dal caos cittadino. Le stanze sono pulite e molto silenziose, In sintesi, un’ottima scelta per chi vuole visitare Edimburgo godendo al tempo stesso della quiete e del fascino di un piccolo villaggio scozzese."
