They chose the hotel because it is easily accessible and because it is walking distance from the 'city' and the harbour. Soundproof windows so the room was comfortable. Staff not very empathetic, hasty and not particularly helpful. Defect of not having a welcoming reception, basic services while waiting for the room. Basically an office counter in the midst of car rental, travel points and other commercial counters. To be considered if for 1-2 nights.

Staying at the Acteon had been wonderful. Next to the ferry at the Centre of Ios' port, nearby amazing restaurant and close to Chora village and Mylopotas beach. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, they were very very kind. Downstairs the rooms there is the ferries office and the car rental and the bus stop. Our room was clean and had an amazing view.

La struttura è comoda in quanto adiacente al porto. Peccato che le camere non sono quelle indicate in foto. La camera era piccolissima, vecchia,malconcia.. gabinetto e doccia con ruggine. Le finestre piccole e con affaccio interno! Sembrava di stare in galera! Abbiamo Chiesto il cambio di camera e L host è stato molto gentile dicendoci che avrebbe trovato una soluzione ma per tutti e 4 i giorni la Soluzione non è stata trovata ! Non ci tornerò sicuramente.

Siamo stati in questa struttura 3 giorni, ci siamo trovati bene. La camera buona, bagno un po piccolo ma in linea con il prezzo. Ottimo balcone largo!!! Posizione molto comoda a due passi dal porto Consigliato!!!

This hotel was fabulous from minute 1 when I arrived. The big smile on Steven face, he remembered me every time I came to ask a question. They were all wonderful! I rented a car from them which was fun and easy to do! The rooms are completely redone with comfy beds and every amenity you could need. Gorgeous view of the port and when you close the doors to your room they are super quiet! Stay at the Acteon it’s so wonderful!

Great family run hotel. My room was clean and comfortable. The owners were so friendly, and I felt genuinely cared for. Very walkable to downtown and the beach.

It’s a small hotel, 100 meters from ferry dock. No working elevator and we were on 3rd floor. Nothing fancy, but did the job for one night. We had a balcony which made the room seem bigger. This was off season so not many places open.

There was construction directly underneath us starting at 8am chipping up tile so sleeping past then was impossible . There was no mention of this until we showed up. Furthermore , they gave us a price for laundry before charging us almost double of what they had originally quoted.

Pleasant stay
The hotel is in a very central location in the port of Ios. My room had a balcony with view in the sea. The stuff is very friendly and talkative, they gave me nice tips on what to do on the island and where to go.

Great service, they were ready right when we arrived. It’s in a beautiful location right next to the port. It is surrounded by restaurants and little shops.

It was a clean convenient place to stay overnight while visiting the island. Nothing special you can hear everything going on from in your room. We got woken up by a drunk person screaming and banging on a door down the hall for half an hour

Phenomenal Service
My stay at the Acteon Hotel was phenomenal. I was on crutches and the staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything that I needed plus more. Would definitely recommend :)

Gutes Hotel direkt am Hafen
Du kommst mit der Fähre an und blickst direkt auf das Hotel. Sind ca. 100 Meter zu laufen. Die Rezeption liegt unten mit dem Touristenbüro zusammen. Servicekraft sehr freundlich ! Das Zimmer war ausreichend groß und hatte einen Balkon zum Meer. Zimmer sind bestimmt ruhiger als die in der Altstadt oben. Dort werden jede Menge Musikkneipen hochgezogen mit Techno etc. Bushaltestelle , Strand, Frühstücksmöglichkeit gleich in der Nähe. Abendbrot gleich unten im Peri Anemon . Leckeres billiges Essen und Trinken mit sehr freundlichen Leuten. Gestärkt dann laufen zum Homa Grab ca. 40000 Schritte !! Wir empfehlen das Hotel !!

Great location but poor sound proof.
The location of the hotel was really great and staff was also helpful and attentive. But the room we stayed had no view and blocked by some curtain who lived next building. Also there was literally no sound proof at all. if someone talk or walk in the stair or hallway, we can hear everything like the person is next to us. Overall good considering the price we paid though.

+ Ligging vlakbij de aanlegsteiger voor de ferry’s en heel centraal in de haven (nabijheid restaurants, winkels, verhuur auto & scooter etc) + basic kamer (met kleine badkamer), ideaal voor strandvakantie wanneer kamergebruik miniem is + verbonden aan reisbureau op gelijkvloers voor tickets ferry’s en eventuele daguitstappen op het eiland + goede cleaningdienst, elke dag verse bedlakens en handdoeken - nogal lawaaierig ‘s nachts in het hotel (slechte geluidsisolatie) - geen mogelijkheid voor ontbijt maar wel diverse plaatsen in de buurt waar je kan ontbijten (bakkerij en ontbijtzaken vlakbij)

The most convenient location
Good hotel literally few steps away from the ferry! The most convenient location as we had fairly lot of suitcases to carry. The bus stop is right outside that takes you to Mylopotas beach (via Chora). The walk from the port to Chora is pleasent by steps, took us 10 min to go up. The port area is more lively than Chora at these times in low-season, many restaurants are open and it’s nice ambiance. And the best part! The hotel is run by a lovely gentleman who let us check-in at 9am in the morning and gave us an upgraded room with a fantastic view over the harbour. He told us everything about the island and even let us know that our ferry was 40min delayed on the day of our departure. The rooms are basic but lets face it, you’re not going to Ios to spend time inside with all the wonderful beaches! Can definitely recommend this place.

A nice, affordable find in Ios.
This was a nice find, super convenient to the bus station (at your door), the ferry terminal (100m away), right on the square of the port. There is a rental car agency in the lobby, bakeries, cafes right there. My room had a great view of the harbor. Some might the area noisy, but I slept with the window open and enjoyed the activity on the street. Great memories, and a great staff that went out of their way to help. Good wifi too.

The hotel had the most perfect place exactly near the port, so it was perfect to take the boat to Santorini the next morning .

This is a budget hotel so your expectations should be low, however I thought it represented good value for money at the time of booking and is perfect for a one night stopover, any longer and you might want to travel further. I wanted somewhere for one night beside the ferry port so I could explore Ios Chora for a night without having to drag my bags too far, this was just right. The room was clean and comfortable if somewhat basic. Wi-Fi was excellent, view from the room was good, the air-con was just a little temperamental. It's near some places to eat & drink, there's a supermarket nearby as well as a beach, and outside there's the bus stop taking you up the hill to Chora or Mylopotas beach.
